I just took delivery of my van for my route in Seattle and everything is sliding around back there and the built-in rails dont even fit the straps i already own which is just so frustrating.

Im looking for bins or divider systems that actually lock into the floor because right now its a total mess every time I hit the brakes. Got a 2000 dollar budget to fix this before my busy season starts next month and i really need to get organized before I lose my mind...

ive been scrolling through marketplace and autotrader for like three weeks straight now and my head is honestly spinning because i need a car by the first of the month for this new commute into philly. i have about 17k saved up which i thought was plenty but everything seems so overpriced right now and im terrified of buying a lemon that explodes two weeks later.

im basically torn between two specific ones i found locally. the first is a 2015 a4 premium plus with 72k miles and it looks super clean like the guy definitely babied it but its the older body style and i keep hearing horror stories about the b8 engines and oil consumption which makes me so nervous. the other one is a 2017 a4 with the newer interior and tech which i way prefer but it already has 98k miles on it and its right at the top of my budget at 17,500. i love the apple carplay in the 2017 but that mileage is scary for that price.

im leaning towards the 2015 because of the lower miles but then i read online that the 2017 is actually more reliable because they fixed some of the major engine flaws from the earlier years? but then nearly 100k miles on a german car sounds like a recipe for a 4000 dollar repair bill any minute now and i cant afford that right after buying it. its for a 45 minute commute each way so i need something that isnt gonna leave me stranded on the schuylkill during rush hour. my last car was a civic that never had an issue so jumping into the audi world feels like a huge risk.

what are the actual common issues i should be looking for when i go see these in person this weekend? like are there specific things like water pumps or timing chains that i should ask the owners about or check in the service records? is the 2017 with high miles actually a safer bet than the 2015 with lower miles or am i just overthinking this whole thing...

The back is just this big empty plastic and carpet space and it feels like everything just flies everywhere when I turn. I saw some nets and those folding bin things online but I'm worried they wont fit the EV version right because the floor looks different than the gas ones. I saw some people online saying to check private sellers on Facebook Marketplace to save on dealer fees but honestly every listing I see looks like a scam or the car is totally trashed.

My logic was that a 2017 or 2018 would be down to like 22k by now but everything I find within 100 miles of Dallas is closer to 30k even with 100k miles on it.

So I finally picked up my 2024 Tucson Hybrid last week and I'm already regretting not getting the mats at the dealership, even though they wanted like three hundred bucks for basic rubber ones that barely cover anything. Im living up in Vermont and the mud season is basically starting early this year... it’s a total disaster. I’ve already got salt stains on the driver side carpet because the tiny factory mats are a joke. I need something that actually holds the liquid in because I’ve got two dogs and we’re constantly hiking, so the car is just a magnet for dirt and melted snow.

I’ve been staring at tabs on my laptop for three hours now and I’m torn between the WeatherTech HP ones and the TuxMats. I’ve heard WeatherTech is the gold standard but some people say they get all curled up at the edges after a summer in the heat and they look kinda industrial. Then there's TuxMat which looks really premium and covers way more of the carpet area—which sounds great for my OCD—but I’m worried they might be a pain to clean since they have that textured surface? I saw a video where someone said the clips are a nightmare to install too. Also found something called Smartliner on Amazon for way cheaper but I’m scared the fitment for the hybrid model specifically is gonna be off since the floor pan is slightly different from the gas version because of the battery under the seat.

My budget is strictly under $250 because I just dropped a ton on the down payment and I really need them delivered by next Friday before we head out for a camping trip. Does the TuxMat actually fit the 2024 hybrid perfectly or should I just stick with the 'safe' bet and go WeatherTech even if they look a bit like a truck floor? Kinda leaning toward TuxMat but really dont want to deal with returning them if the hybrid hump in the back seat messes with the fit... or are the Smartliners actually decent enough for half the price?
