This is my first real sports car and everyone keeps talking about all these extra parts and add-ons you need to buy to make it better. I live in South Florida where it gets super hot and I just want to use it for weekend cruises not really racing it on a track or anything.

My budget is around 5000 for extra stuff right now but I dont even know what I should be looking at... is it wheels or like wings for the back? Sorry if this is a total beginner question but what accessories actually make a difference for someone like me who just wants the best experience?

I thought these things were built for the track but I was hitting limp mode after like four laps because of the heat soak... it is so frustrating because I spent good money on this car and expected way more. I already did the fluids and upgraded the pads but it just wasnt enough to keep up.

What are the absolute must-have performance upgrades or accessories for the Corvette Z06 if Im actually gonna be pushing it on track weekends? Look Ive been driving Vettes for over a decade now and I finally picked up a C8 Z06 a few months back but after taking it out to Willow Springs last weekend I noticed a few things that felt a bit less sharp than I expected after all the hype. The car is a monster obviously but I felt some slight brake fade toward the end of my third session and Im honestly wondering if the stock pads are just not cutting it or if I need to look into a better cooling setup for the rotors.

I've got about $12,000 set aside for this build and I want to get everything dialed in before a big event I've got coming up in early November so time is a bit of a factor here since I know lead times can be a total nightmare lately. I was looking at some of the aero kits because the downforce feels okay but I've heard some guys talking about how the Z07 package spoilers make a huge difference over the standard ones if youre hitting high speeds on the straights and I definitely felt the rear end get a little light on the faster sweepers. Is it worth going aftermarket for the carbon fiber bits or should I try to hunt down OEM parts even though they are priced like they're made of gold?

Also I'm thinking about the tires because the ones it came with are fine for the street but they got greasy real fast once they got hot. Here is what I am looking at:

upgraded brake pads maybe Pagid or something similar

high temp brake fluid because the stock stuff is probably cooked

some kind of intake or exhaust but I dont want to mess with the warranty too much if I can help it

better track alignment specs if anyone has a good shop recommendation near SoCal

One weird thing though is that I felt the DCT hunting a bit more than usual in track mode when coming out of the tighter corners and I am wondering if there is a software flash or something I missed? Or maybe I am just overdriving it. Just curious what you guys think is the best bang for your buck on these new platforms...

What are the absolute must-have exterior accessories I should get for my new Chevrolet Silverado because I literally have no idea what I am doing lol. I just picked up a 2024 Silverado last week and man I am so excited to finally be a truck owner after driving a tiny little sedan for ten years but now that I have it in my driveway I realized it looks kind of... bare? Like its missing stuff that makes it look like a real truck if that makes sense.

I was looking online at all these parts websites and my head is just spinning because there are like a thousand different things you can bolt onto these things and I dont want to waste money on stuff that isnt actually useful or good quality. I live out in Ohio so we get a ton of snow and salt on the roads and I'm really worried about the bed getting all scratched up or rusted out so maybe a liner or a cover? I saw something called a tonneau cover but I dont know if the hard ones or the soft ones are better or if I even need one if I'm just hauling stuff from Home Depot once in a while.

Also my wife is already complaining that it is too high for her to get into comfortably so I probably need those bars on the side but I dont even know what the official name for those is. Step bars? Nerf bars? There are so many names it is super confusing. My budget is about $1500 to maybe $2000 for right now and I want to get this stuff sorted before winter hits in a few months. Should I get mud flaps too? I see some trucks with them and some without and I dont know if they actually do anything or if they are just for looks.

Sorry if these are really basic questions I am just a complete newbie to the truck world and I want to make sure I do this right the first time without looking like an idiot at the local shop. What would you guys put on first if you were starting from scratch? I'm mostly using it for DIY projects and maybe some camping trips next summer...

So I finally pulled the trigger and got a 2024 Silverado and I am honestly so pumped but also kind of terrified of getting the inside dirty already. I live out in rainy Oregon and it is basically a mud pit half the year so I know I need some serious floor mats. I have no idea where to start though so sorry if this is a dumb question but what am I even looking for?

My logic was that I should just find something made of heavy rubber but then I saw these ads for laser measured liners and I dont really get what that means. Do they actually use lasers on the truck? I keep seeing brands like WeatherTech and Husky popping up but they look exactly the same in the pictures so I have no clue why one costs more than the other.

I have about $200 set aside for this and I really need them by next Friday because I am taking my golden retriever to the lake and he is gonna track so much muck into the cab. A few things I am worried about:

do they slide around under the pedals because that sounds dangerous

are they easy to wash or do I need special soap

do I have to take the old carpet mats out first?

I just want something that wont crack when it gets cold and actually fits the floor perfectly. I am so scared of buying the wrong size and having them not fit right. Any ideas for a total beginner?...

Since I'm up in Montana the first thing I started looking at were floor mats but I'm torn. I saw people rave about WeatherTech online but then a bunch of guys on another thread said the OEM Chevy liners actually cover more of the door sill? I also looked at center console organizers because that middle bin is basically a black hole but some reviews said they block the wireless charger. I've got about 500 bucks to spend right now and really want to keep the cabin looking mint while I'm out doing ranch work... what are the actual essentials you guys swear by?
