so i finally picked up a 2022 silverado 1500 last week and the interior is nice but it feels way too empty and i know im gonna wreck it with mud soon since i live up in northern idaho. i have about 400 or 500 bucks to spend right now before my wife kills me for spending more on the truck haha. im really torn between a couple of paths for the first upgrades.

my logic was that i definitely need floor liners first. i was looking at the weathertech hp series because everyone raves about them but then i saw the husky liners x-act contour and they look a bit more rubbery which i think i prefer over that hard plastic feel of the weathertechs. has anyone tried both? i dont want my feet sliding around when they are wet.

also that center console is basically just a giant black hole. i was looking at those vehicle organized solutions (salex) grid things to actually separate my stuff or just getting one of those cheap drop in trays from amazon. the salex ones look way sturdier but they are like double the price. then i saw some guys talking about the rough country seat covers too since i have the cloth seats and i spill coffee literally every morning. im basically looking at:

weathertech hp liners vs husky x-act

salex console organizer vs cheap amazon tray

rough country seat covers

what do you guys think is the better play for a daily driver? focus on the mats and the console or skip the console and get better seat covers? i need to pull the trigger by friday before a big camping trip...

So I finally pulled the trigger on a 2024 Silverado 1500 after driving my old 2012 GMC into the ground. Man, these new cabins are basically luxury cars now. I'm used to just hosing out the floor mats and not caring, but this leather and the massive screen makes me a little paranoid lol. I'm in the Pacific Northwest so it’s basically mud season 24/7 right now and I’ve got a 70lb lab who thinks he owns the backseat.

I’ve already been looking at the standard stuff like the WeatherTech HP liners since the factory carpet mats are a joke for real work. But I’m seeing all these weird specific things like center console organizers that divide that massive deep bin—which honestly seems like a black hole right now—and screen protectors for the 13.4 inch display. Does anyone actually use those or do they just cause glare? I've got about a thousand bucks set aside for kitting this thing out before our first big camping trip next month. I want it to stay looking new but still be functional for a guy who actually uses his truck. What are the must-have interior mods that actually fit the refresh interior well? I dont want cheap junk that rattles or slides around. Anyone found a good under-seat storage solution that doesnt cost a fortune?

What are the absolute must-have exterior performance mods for a C7 Z06 if I'm planning on doing more track days this summer? I just picked up a 2017 Z06 in Watkins Glen Gray and I'm obsessed but I know these things can run hot. I live out in Phoenix so the heat is already a massive factor and I don't want to be that guy pulling into the pits after three laps because of limp mode.

I did some digging online and saw a lot of people talking about the Stage 3 aero kits with the big wickerbill spoiler but then I read on another forum that it actually adds way too much drag on the straights and might mess with the balance if I don't have the front splitter dialed in perfectly... its all a bit confusing. Some guys swear by the LG Motorsports cooling hood as a necessity for track guys in hot climates but others say it's totally overkill unless you're a pro driver. I'm just a weekend warrior with about a $5,000 budget for now. I want the car to look mean but it actually needs to perform and not just be for car shows.

Should I be looking into better underbody diffusers or just stick to the standard wing and splitter combo for now? Trying to get everything ordered and on the car before the season really kicks off in mid-September.

I just picked up a 2024 Silverado crew cab and I am honestly kind of panicking about the interior already. Ive owned trucks for twenty years and usually the old school rubber deep dish mats do the trick but the floor layout on this new model is so weird. There is this huge gap near the door sill and the factory carpet feels way thinner than my old 2015. I live up in the Pacific Northwest and the mud season is basically starting tomorrow so I need to get something locked in fast before I ruin the resale value.

I looked at WeatherTech because thats what everyone says to get but I heard they can get stiff and curl up at the edges after a summer of heat? Then someone mentioned Husky Liners but there are like three different versions and I cant tell which one actually covers the hump in the back properly for the kids. I have about 250 bucks to spend and I need these to actually stay put because I hate when they slide toward the pedals. My main concerns are:

full door sill coverage so mud doesnt go under

something that uses the factory retention clips properly

a material that isnt super slippery when wet

Does anyone know if the X-act Contour or the WeatherTech HP series actually fits the 2024 floor pan better? I dont want to spend a fortune just to have my carpet stained by salt and muck next month. What are you guys actually using that doesnt feel like cheap hard plastic...

I love the car so much its literally a dream but every time I push it at Willow Springs it feels like it starts pulling timing and I just get so frustrated. I have around 7 or 8 grand saved up for this and I really need to get it dialed in by next month.

Seriously which roof rack actually works for a 2022 Chevy Equinox because the cheap one I bought from Amazon is driving me insane? Im honestly so fed up with this universal kit I got last month because it whistles like crazy the second I hit 40 mph and it feels like the whole thing is gonna fly off the car whenever I have my skis up there. Ive tried tightening the bolts like ten times now but it still rattles and honestly im just ready to throw the whole thing in the trash and start over. I have a trip to Breckenridge coming up in about two weeks and I really dont want to spend eight hours listening to that high-pitched screeching while im driving through the mountains. My budget is probably around 350 maybe 400 bucks if the quality is actually there but I really need something that fits the flush rails without being a total nightmare to install. I saw some Thule stuff but its so expensive and then there are these random brands on eBay that look just as bad as what I have now. Is there a specific brand or model you guys use that doesnt make you want to pull your hair out? Just looking for something sturdy and quiet for once...
