Okay so I literally just got my Ioniq 5 yesterday and honestly I am kind of terrified of it. It is so different from my old Honda Civic it feels like I am driving a computer or something instead of a car. I dont even know where to put my phone because that middle area is just a big open floor? Like why is there so much empty space between the seats lol it makes no sense to me and my bag just falls over every time I go around a corner.

I live in Seattle so its basically always raining and I already tracked mud onto the white carpet floor mats which I am totally kicking myself for. I need to get those rubber mats everyone talks about but I dont even know what they are called or which brand fits this specific car since it has that sliding thingy in the middle. I also have a dog who sheds like crazy so I probably need something for the back seats so he doesnt ruin the leather or whatever the seats are made of. I think its some kind of recycled material?

My budget is maybe like 300 bucks for now because the car payment was a lot more than I thought it would be after all the fees and stuff. I am really worried about scratching the screens or that shiny plastic stuff on the doors too. I saw some people online have like these little trays that go in the armrest? That seems useful because right now my keys and coins are just flying around. I've heard people mention a few things but I am not sure if they are actually worth it:

screen protectors for the dashboard

rubber floor liners

console organizers

seat covers for pets

trunk organizers

Sorry if this is all super basic stuff I am just really overwhelmed with the whole EV thing. It is a 2024 model in the light gray color and I really want to keep it looking nice but I have no idea where to start or what brands are actually good and not just cheap junk from some random website. What are the absolute must-have things I should buy for the inside of this car to keep it clean and organized?...

So I finally pulled the trigger on the 2024 Tucson Hybrid Limited and man I love it but I'm freaking out about the interior already. I've been a WeatherTech guy for like ten years, put them in every truck and SUV I've owned but I just realized the hybrid floor layout is slightly different because of the battery placement under the rear seats. I'm seeing conflicting stuff online about whether the standard floor mats block the air intake vent for the hybrid battery cooling. If that gets blocked I'm worried about overheating or just ruining the warranty on a brand new 40k car. I checked the OEM ones at the dealership but they felt kind of flimsy for what they wanted to charge me—like $200 plus tax just for the fronts and back? That's insane. I'm in Michigan and the salt here is going to absolutely murder my carpets by December if I don't get something deep-dish and waterproof soon. Has anyone actually installed TuxMat or Smartliner in the hybrid specifically? I need to know if they have the cutout for the vent or if they just cover it up. I don't want to have to trim a $180 set of mats myself and mess it up. What are you guys using that actually fits the hybrid floor pan perfectly without messing with the battery airflow?...

I just did a session at COTA and the heat soak was insane after like three laps. I thought the stock cooling was better but my oil temps were climbing way too fast and the power just dipped.

I have about 1500 bucks saved up for some quick upgrades before my next event in three weeks but honestly I'm getting frustrated looking at all these aftermarket inlets and intercoolers. Some guys say the stock intake is fine and I just need a better stage 1 or maybe some stiffer powerflex bushings to help the wheel hop. What performance accessories are actually worth the money for the N to keep it from bogging down?

So I finally picked up my 2024 Tucson Hybrid last week and I'm already regretting not getting the mats at the dealership, even though they wanted like three hundred bucks for basic rubber ones that barely cover anything. Im living up in Vermont and the mud season is basically starting early this year... it’s a total disaster. I’ve already got salt stains on the driver side carpet because the tiny factory mats are a joke. I need something that actually holds the liquid in because I’ve got two dogs and we’re constantly hiking, so the car is just a magnet for dirt and melted snow.

I’ve been staring at tabs on my laptop for three hours now and I’m torn between the WeatherTech HP ones and the TuxMats. I’ve heard WeatherTech is the gold standard but some people say they get all curled up at the edges after a summer in the heat and they look kinda industrial. Then there's TuxMat which looks really premium and covers way more of the carpet area—which sounds great for my OCD—but I’m worried they might be a pain to clean since they have that textured surface? I saw a video where someone said the clips are a nightmare to install too. Also found something called Smartliner on Amazon for way cheaper but I’m scared the fitment for the hybrid model specifically is gonna be off since the floor pan is slightly different from the gas version because of the battery under the seat.

My budget is strictly under $250 because I just dropped a ton on the down payment and I really need them delivered by next Friday before we head out for a camping trip. Does the TuxMat actually fit the 2024 hybrid perfectly or should I just stick with the 'safe' bet and go WeatherTech even if they look a bit like a truck floor? Kinda leaning toward TuxMat but really dont want to deal with returning them if the hybrid hump in the back seat messes with the fit... or are the Smartliners actually decent enough for half the price?

Im torn between the Thule WingBar Evo and the Yakima JetStream set. The Thule looks super sleek but man the price is steep, almost $700 with all the fit kits. I found some generic ones on Amazon for like $150 but I'm scared theyll whistle or fly off on the highway. We gotta fit a large cargo box and a mountain bike up there so it needs to be sturdy. Is the Thule worth the extra cash for the noise reduction or does the Yakima do basically the same thing for less? My budget is ideally under $500-600 total. Which one should I go with?

I'm trying to get it all organized before our big family trip to the Outer Banks next month because I know it's gonna be chaos with two kids in the back. I spent like three hours looking at those drop-in trays on Amazon and some people say the cheap $15 ones are fine but then I read on a Facebook group that those can rattle like crazy and drive you nuts so maybe the official Hyundai one is better? But then I saw another post saying the official one is way too small and wastes space. I'm also looking for something to put between the captain's chairs in the second row since there's just that gap on the floor and my 7-year-old keeps throwing her snacks there. Do those floor mats that cover the gap actually stay put or do they just slide around? I have about $300 set aside to just get the interior dialed in and I really want it to stay looking nice since it's the nicest car I've ever owned. What are you guys actually using that fits perfectly and doesnt look like cheap plastic junk... especially for the console and the cargo area under the floor?

So I just picked up a 2024 Santa Cruz and honestly the roof setup is throwing me for a loop. Ive been installing racks on my rigs for a decade - mostly used Thule WingBars on my old Outback - but the mounting points on this thing are weird. I got the Limited trim so it has the flush rails but they feel kinda narrow compared to what Im used to. Im trying to figure out what actually holds up well without too much wind howl because I do a lot of highway driving up here in the PNW.

I need something that can handle:

at least 150lbs dynamic load for two heavy kayaks

t-slot compatibility is a must since I have all the old attachments

budget is maybe $700-800 tops but Id go higher for something low profile

needs to look decent because the truck has a specific vibe you know?

I looked at the Yakima JetStream stuff but I heard the fitment kits for the SC are hit or miss right now. Also saw some generic ones on Amazon but I dont really trust those for high speed stuff. Has anyone tried the Rhino-Rack Vortex bars on this specific roof? I'm worried about the clearance with the sunroof when it tilts. What are you guys actually using day to day?

Just picked up my limited trim last week and man, the space in here is wild compared to my old Kona EV. I thought I knew what I was doing with car organization but the open floor design is actually kind of a nightmare for my stuff sliding around when I take corners. Im looking to get this thing kitted out before the rainy season really hits here in Seattle next month. I have about 400 bucks set aside for the interior and I want to make it count.

Here is what Im looking for specifically:

All-weather floor mats that actually fit the sliding console (most seem to block it??)

Something for that huge empty space under the dashboard where my gym bag just flops over

A screen protector because the fingerprints on that white bezel are driving me insane already

Maybe a better center console organizer since the deep bin is basically a black hole

I tried one set of generic mats from Amazon but they were total junk and didnt line up with the pegs at all. Anyone found a brand that actually feels premium? Also curious if anyone has found a good way to utilize that magnetic pad to the left of the dash... it feels like a wasted opportunity right now. What are the absolute essentials you guys are actually using every day?
