So I finally got my 2010 XKR and honestly I am so frustrated with how it feels right now. Everyone said these cars were rocket ships but mine feels heavy and the throttle response is just pathetic for a supercharged V8.

My logic was that the 5.0 would be enough but it feels like there is this huge delay every time I step on it and I’m just about done with the stock setup. I was looking at supercharger pulleys because obviously more boost is better right? But then I started reading about heat soak and now I’m stuck wondering if I need a better intercooler pump first because the car just bogs down after twenty minutes of driving in the heat here in Florida.

I’ve got about 2500 bucks saved up to fix this mess and I need to get it sorted before a club meet next month but I dont want to just throw money at it and get zero results. Is it the exhaust? A tune? I heard some guys say a TCU flash is the only way to fix the shifting but I dont even know where to start. It’s just so annoying because the car looks fast but it doesnt feel fast yet...

Ive been driving high-performance SUVs for a while now, mostly coming from an X5M background, and I finally made the jump to a 2022 F-PACE SVR a few months back. That 5.0L V8 sounds absolutely mental, but I'm starting to notice a few things now that the honeymoon phase is over. I live out in a rural part of Colorado where the roads are winding and the altitude really messes with things. I've been hitting some canyon runs lately and the brake fade is real, plus I am feeling a bit more body roll than I expected for something with this much power. I thought the SVR setup would be stiffer out of the box but it feels a bit floaty when I am really pushing it into the hairpins.

I have got about 7 grand set aside for some upgrades over the next month before a big road trip through the Rockies. I'm already looking at maybe a VelocityAP tune and some lowering springs but I am worried about ruining the ride quality for my daily commute. I also need to figure out a better cooling solution because the heat soak after three or four pulls is definitely clipping my wings.

What are the absolute must-have performance bits for this platform?

Anyone have experience with specific brake pad compounds that dont squeal like a bus but can actually handle high heat?

Are there any intake kits that actually add power or are they all just for more supercharger whine?

Just trying to find what actually makes a difference versus what is just expensive eye candy for the engine bay...

also thinking about upgrading the shifters to those aluminum ones i saw on amazon but dont want them looking tacky. i got about 600 bucks to spend on stuff this month and really want the best fit without it feeling like im cheaping out on a 90k car. which ones actually hold up better in the long run...

So I just picked up this 2011 Jaguar XKR and I honestly have no idea what I'm doing. It's the most expensive thing I've ever owned and I'm kind of terrified of breaking it but I also want it to sound a bit meaner and maybe go faster? I keep seeing people talk about pulleys and remaps on other sites but I dont really understand what any of that actually does to the car. I'm in Orlando so it's super hot here all the time and I'm worried about the engine overheating if I mess with it too much. My budget is like 3000 dollars right now and I'm hoping to get some stuff done before a big car meet next month. Is there like a starter kit or something for people who aren't mechanics? I just want it to feel a bit more special when I take it out on the weekends. Are there any accessories that make the interior look less like an old mans car too? Sorry if these are really basic questions I just really dont want to ruin the engine by buying the wrong parts from some random website. What are the best first steps for someone who has literally zero experience with car mods but wants their XKR to be a bit more beastly?

I look at websites and there are all these different cables and boxes and my head is spinning. My logic was that it would just come with everything I need but now I am seeing people talk about buying separate cables for when they go to the shops or work.

I live in a terrace house in Manchester so I might have to use public chargers sometimes but mostly I want to charge at home. Is a wallbox thing essential or can I just use a normal plug? I have about 500 pounds left in my car budget for this month. What do I actually need to buy right now so I dont get stranded...

What are the best performance mods for the R-75 if I need to get it ready for a track event in less than three weeks? I'm honestly torn between just going for the VelocityAP stage 2 kit with the pulley and tune or just sticking to a full Eventuri intake and maybe a Quicksilver exhaust setup to help it breathe better. I've got about 4500 bucks to spend right now and I'm really feeling the pressure because the local shop needs a week lead time for parts.

The R-75 is already a beast but I feel like it's holding back a bit on the top end when I'm pushing it on the highway and I want it to feel more alive. I'm leaning toward the tune but I'm super paranoid about the warranty since the car is basically brand new and the dealer here in SoCal is pretty strict about that stuff. On the other hand the intake and exhaust might not give me the same raw power kick but they look and sound incredible. Is the pulley swap really worth the extra heat issues in the California sun or should I just stick to the software? I need to make a move by Friday so I can get everything installed before the Laguna Seca day. Which way would you guys go for the best bang for buck without blowing the engine?

It is a heavy beast so I know heat is gonna be an issue for the tires and brakes. I am torn between getting the Garmin Catalyst for the real-time coaching or just sticking to a cheaper OBDLink CX and spending the rest of my $600 budget on high temp brake fluid and a really solid Longacre tire gauge. Is the coaching on the Garmin worth the extra spend for a beginner or should I focus more on the hardware basics since the SVR is such a heavy suv and might cook the brakes?
