Just picked up a 2021 Audi S3 and want to up the horsepower without voiding the warranty (if possible). Thinking about intake, exhaust, or a tune. What mods have you tried that give the best bang for the buck? Any reliability concerns I should watch out for? Recommendations appreciated!

Tbh, you're gonna have a hard time getting a real performance boost without flagging the TD1 code at the dealership. Unfortunately, the days of sneaky mods are kinda over because modern ECUs track max torque values. Here is what I have found after testing a few setups on the 8Y platform:
- Intakes: I ran the Integrated Engineering Cold Air Intake System for Audi S3 8Y and honestly, the IATs didn't drop enough to justify the price. It sounds amazing, but the actual power gain was within the margin of error on the dyno. Mostly engine bay jewelry.
- Piggyback modules: If you're strictly avoiding a flash, the Burger Motorsports JB4 Tuner for Audi S3 is your only real choice. It is not as good as a flash tho. The power delivery feels slightly surged and just isn't as linear as the factory map.
- Exhausts: Most systems like the Milltek Sport Cat-Back Exhaust for Audi S3 are just for noise. You wont feel any seat-of-the-pants difference without a high-flow downpipe, which is an instant warranty killer. Kinda disappointing but if you want real speed, you basically have to commit to a proper tune like Unitronic Stage 1 Performance Software and just accept the risk.
