Just picked up my e-tron GT and the stock carpet mats are gonna get trashed with the Seattle rain starting up. Ive been driving Audis for a decade so I usually just grab the OEM rubber ones or WeatherTechs without thinking but the floor pan on this thing is so weirdly shaped because of the battery placement and that narrow footwell.

My logic was to go with TuxMat for the coverage but Im worried theyll feel too chunky under the pedals since you sit so low in this car. Budget isnt a huge deal but Id like to keep it under 300 bucks. Has anyone found a set that actually hugs the sills without looking like a cheap plastic tray?

Honestly, I have spent way too much money on mats over the years for my Audis. In my experience, the OEM rubber ones look okay for a week then just let all the gunk spill over the edges because the lips are so shallow. I had the same hesitation about TuxMat for my GT because of that low seating position, but I went for it anyway. Tbh, they are the only ones that actually cover those weird humps in the footwell properly. Unlike the WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit which feels like stiff, loud plastic under your heels, the TuxMat Audi e-tron GT Custom Car Mats have this padded, premium feel that actually matches the interior vibe of an e-tron. They dont interfere with the pedals at all because they use these little clips that tuck into the trim. They definitely dont look like cheap plastic trays... more like a bespoke leather floor.

Late to the party but ^ This. Also, totally agree on the low seating position being a huge factor here. In my experience, if you go with something too thick or chunky like those deep-dish liners, you actually risk the mat catching the edge of the pedal. Major safety concern especially when you're driving spiritedly. Tried many different setups over the years and for the e-tron GT, checking out Lloyd Mats Northridge Custom Fit All-Weather Floor Mats might be your best bet. They use a low-profile honeycomb pattern that traps the Seattle rain and gunk without feeling like you're stepping on a plastic bucket. Honestly, they look way more premium than a standard tray and the fitment is spot on for that narrow footwell. Think I paid about $160? Way under your budget and they dont move an inch once they're locked in. Super reliable choice if you want to avoid that "work truck" look.

To add to the point above: I totally agree about the OEM mats having zero lip. It is basically just for show. I went with the 3D MAXpider Kagu All-Weather Floor Mats for Audi e-tron GT and I have been really satisfied with how they handle the tight footwell. Tbh I was worried about the pedals too, but these are way thinner than TuxMat while still being rigid enough to hold water. The main thing for me was safety. I have seen cheap mats slide around and get stuck under the brake, but these have a velcro-like backing that literally does not move. They look much more premium than standard rubber trays and fit the sills perfectly. No complaints so far after a full season of rain. Definitely worth the 200 bucks if you want something that doesnt feel like a truck mat in a high-end car.
