Any recommendations for carbon fiber parts for a BMW M4?

I recently picked up a G82 M4 and while I love the stock look, I’m ready to add some carbon fiber to give it a more aggressive edge. I’m mainly looking for a solid front lip, side skirts, and a rear diffuser that won't break the bank but still offers perfect fitment. I’m really concerned about the weave pattern matching the OEM carbon roof, as I’ve seen some aftermarket parts look a bit 'off' in direct sunlight. Have any of you had better luck with brands like Vorsteiner or RW Carbon versus going full M Performance? I'd love to hear which brands offer the best durability against rock chips for a daily driver.

Just catching up on this thread and i feel u on the weave matching... it is literally the biggest headache with G82 builds. If you want to save some serious cash while keeping that OEM look, check out Unit17 Carbon Fiber Front Lip for BMW G82 M4 or their Unit17 Carbon Fiber Side Skirt Extensions.

I've been in the bimmer scene for like 15 years and honestly, Unit17 has some of the best fitment for the price right now. Pro tip: head over to the G80.bimmerpost forums. There's a massive master-thread there where guys post side-by-side shots of different brands against the factory roof. It's a lifesaver resource.

Also, if you're worried about rock chips on a daily, i'd suggest getting whatever parts you buy ceramic coated or even better, wrapped in XPEL Ultimate Plus Paint Protection Film. Even the expensive M Performance stuff will pit and crack if a pebble hits it at 80mph on the highway. Be careful with some of those super cheap eBay lips tho... they might look okay in photos but the clear coat usually yellows after one summer. Good luck with the build!!

yo, congrats on the G82! Honestly, matching that weave is the ultimate struggle cuz BMW's factory clear coat has that specific tint. Since you're worried about rock chips for a daily, you basically gotta decide between high-end dry carbon or more budget-friendly wet carbon.

I'd compare RW Carbon BMW G8X M3 M4 RWS Carbon Fiber Front Lip vs MHC+ BMW M3 M4 Edition 1 Carbon Fiber Front Lip. RW is awesome for the price and usually fits great, but MHC+ uses pre-preg carbon which is way stronger against those annoying highway pebbles. If you want the side skirts and diffuser too, MHC+ BMW M3 M4 SK1 Side Skirts are super sleek.

TL;DR: RW Carbon is better if you wanna save cash, but MHC+ is more durable for a daily. Just make sure to ceramic coat them to help with the UV matching! gl! 👍

yo, congrats on the G82! honestly, matching that OEM weave is a pain because BMW uses a 2x2 twill but their resin tint is unique. I would suggest looking at Vorsteiner VRS Aero Front Spoiler Carbon Fiber G8X M3 M4 if you want that perfect aggressive edge. I ran their kit on my daily and the fitment was literally 9.5/10.

For a daily driver, you gotta be careful with rock chips. In my experience, RW Carbon is decent for the price, but the clear coat on RW Carbon BMW G82 G83 M4 Carbon Fiber Side Skirt Extensions can be a bit thin compared to M Performance. Here is what I recommend for the best durability-to-cost ratio:

* Front Lip: Vorsteiner VRS Aero Front Spoiler - super thick weave.
* Side Skirts: M Performance Carbon Fiber Rocker Panel Blades - worth the extra cash for the OEM fitment guarantee.
* Diffuser: RW Carbon BMW G8X M3 M4 Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser - looks great in direct sunlight.

Just make sure to get some PPF on the front lip immediately or it'll get peppered. gl! 👍

Honestly I have been doing so much research lately because I am super nervous about picking the wrong brand for my car. It is reallyyy hard to know who to trust when you are looking at all these different websites and I am mostly worried about the parts yellowing or getting loose over time if the fitment isnt 100 percent perfect. I have been trying to compare the whole market and it is basically a toss up.

  • Look into ADRO if you want something that looks totally different from everyone else
  • Check out Dinan because they have been around for a long time and seem really reliable
  • Maybe try Stradale Design since people say their quality is top notch I am still not 100 percent sure yet but I might just wait and save up for the factory parts just to be safe. It is just such a big investment and I dont want to regret it later if the weave looks even a little bit off in the sun. Have you looked into the warranty on any of these brands? That is what I am checking next because I want to make sure I am covered if the clear coat starts peeling after a year of daily driving.
