Ive been scouring the web for weeks now trying to find a clean low mileage M3 sedan and honestly Im about to lose my mind. I am specifically looking for something under 20k miles because I want this to be my forever daily driver here in Austin but everything I find is either a total beat-up mess or priced like its made of solid gold. I checked out Bring a Trailer and while the cars there look amazing the prices always end up way over my 70k budget once the bidding wars start and then you got the fees on top of it. I also tried looking on the big sites like AutoTrader and Cars.com but half the time I call about a listing it turns out the car was sold three days ago and they just havent taken the ad down yet which is so annoying. I read some forum posts saying to check local enthusiast groups on Facebook but those guys are asking crazy money for mods I dont even want like stage 2 tunes and weird wraps. I just want a stock-ish car that hasnt been thrashed. I need to get this sorted by late next month because I already booked a track day and I really dont want to show up in my wifes SUV lol. Does anyone know a specific dealer or a better place to look for M3s near Central Texas that actually keeps their inventory updated?
Re: 'ngl buying a used M3 is super risky...'
ngl buying a used M3 is super risky and i would suggest being really careful before handing over that much cash. i almost bought a sedan that looked perfect but my mechanic found hidden frame damage from a curb hit that wasnt on the report. if you are in Austin, you might want to consider checking the pre-owned stock at a big dealer like BMW of Austin on Burnet. they usually have stricter standards than random sellers on facebook who are just trying to offload their projects.
