Hey everyone! I just picked up a BMW 2 Series and I’m struggling to find a phone mount that actually fits well. The interior layout is great, but the air vents have such a specific shape, and I really don't want to use a bulky suction cup that leaves marks on the windshield. I’ve been looking at brands like Rennline or ProClip, but I’m worried about blocking the iDrive screen or the climate controls. I’m ideally looking for a clean, MagSafe-compatible setup that stays secure during more spirited driving. Does anyone have a specific mount they swear by that looks almost OEM and doesn't rattle? What are you all using in your 2 Series?

Ok so I totally get the struggle cuz those 2 Series vents are a nightmare for standard mounts lol. I basically went on a mission to find a clean setup without spending $100 on a Rennline. Honestly, I just got the Lamicall Magnetic Car Vent Mount and paired it with a cheap ESR Magnetic Ring 360 for the back of my case. It’s super sturdy even when I'm driving a bit crazy, and it only cost me like $20 total tbh. Plus it keeps the screen clear!

I went through this last year and tbh it was a total headache. I tried the pricey Rennline route first but it felt way too stiff for my liking and honestly the $80 price tag hurt. Eventually, I started testing some budget-friendly DIY combos because I wanted that clean MagSafe look without the BMW tax.

Here is what actually worked for me after some trial and error:
* The Scosche MagicMount MSC Dash Mount - Got it on sale for like $15 and it is super low profile.
* Paired it with an Apple MagSafe Charger I had lying around.
* Used some extra-strength 3M VHB Heavy Duty Mounting Tape to keep it secure.

Basically cost me under $30 total since I already had the charger. It doesn't block the iDrive and holds up great during spirited drives!

I was so nervous about my phone flying off in a turn that I spent weeks researching this! I really wanted something that felt permanent and safe. I ended up trying a few things but the winner for me was definitely the ProClip Center Mount for BMW 2 Series. I paired it with the Peak Design Mobile Car Mount Adhesive and it is absolutely fantastic! It sits perfectly and doesnt block anything important, plus the magnetic hold is insanely strong. I was worried about the adhesive on the dash trim but it holds like a charm. Seriously, if you want that secure feeling without the phone rattling around, this combo is amazing!! Let me know if you need help figuring out the exact parts to order because it can be kinda confusing at first.
