honestly so fed up with these cheap universal mats I got last year. they keep sliding under the gas pedal of my 2022 Envision and its getting dangerous plus they dont catch any of the slush from the snow weve been getting here in Denver. I need something that fits the floor perfectly and wont move around at all.
my budget is around $200 but I need them by Friday before our trip to the mountains.
- must be high walled for mud
- absolutely no sliding
- easy to spray off
Is weathertech actually worth the hype or should I look at tuxmat or something else? I need a solid recommendation fast...

Yo, I've dealt with those sliding universal mats before and they're honestly a nightmare, especially when you're driving through a snowstorm in the Rockies. Over the years I've tried many different setups and for a 2022 Envision, you really want something laser-measured. WeatherTech is the big name for a reason, but honestly they're a bit stiff and can feel plastic-y. If you want something that actually stays put and covers every inch of that floor, I'd go with Husky Liners WeatherBeater Floor Mats 94141. They have these little Stay-Put cleats on the bottom that bite into the carpet so they wont budge an inch near your pedals. Plus they're usually easier to find on quick shipping than TuxMat. I've got TuxMat All-Weather Floor Mats Custom Fit in my current daily and they're incredible for coverage, like literally covering all the carpet, but they might be pushing your $200 budget and take longer to ship. If you're hitting the mountains by Friday, check if you can snag the Husky ones or even WeatherTech FloorLiner Custom Fit Mats locally. The WeatherTechs are solid for spraying off with a hose, basically indestructible, but Husky feels a bit more rubbery which I prefer for grip when my boots are covered in Denver slush. Just make sure you pull those old universal ones out first so the anchors can actually lock the new liners in place. Dont leave the old ones underneath or it defeats the whole purpose of the safety locks. It makes a huge difference when you're jumping in and out with heavy boots.

Found this thread just now and had to jump in! Spent way too much on others before landing on 3D MAXpider Kagu Series Floor Mat and they are amazing! Way more affordable than the big guys and they look fantastic. Tip: vacuum the carpet well before snapping them in so the grippy backing locks tight. Seriously, they wont move a centimeter even with heavy boots. Total game changer!

I've gone through plenty of floor liners over the years. Most big brands use that stiff plastic that eventually curls at the edges. Switching to a different style recently was the best move.
- way better coverage for the sides
- they dont slide an inch
- looks way more high-end Just go with TuxMat All-Weather Floor Mats. You wont regret it, they cover way more carpet than the usual suspects.

Ugh, I am literally dealing with the exact same nightmare in my 2022 Envision right now! It is seriously so sketchy when that cheap rubber starts sliding toward the pedals. I actually did some testing and the displacement on my current generic mats is over three inches during normal braking... totally unacceptable for safety specs. I am also searching for something with a higher Shore A hardness so the walls dont collapse under the slush weight! Quick tip for you: make sure to scrub those plastic floor retention nibs with a stiff brush. If there is any grit in there, even the best mats wont seat properly. Also, try to find something with a nibbed backing specifically designed for the Envisions carpet pile depth! I am currently looking at the data for Lasfit All-Weather Floor Mats for Buick Envision and Smartliner Custom Fit Floor Mats to see which has better anchoring points. Let me know what you find because I need a fix asap too!
