I’m absolutely loving my Cadillac, but I’m having a real struggle finding a place to put my phone. The Cadillac CUE screen is the centerpiece of the dash, and every 'universal' mount I’ve tried so far seems to either block the display entirely or get in the way of the touch-sensitive controls below it. It’s getting frustrating because I rely on the screen for navigation and vehicle settings, so covering it up isn't an option.
I’ve experimented with a few cheap vent mounts, but they tend to sag under the weight of my iPhone 14 Pro Max, and I’m worried about damaging the horizontal slats over time. I also looked at suction mounts for the dash, but the material on the Cadillac dashboard doesn't seem to play nice with adhesives, and I don't want to leave any permanent marks. I’m really looking for something that feels stable and looks high-end enough to match the interior without compromising the CUE functionality. Does anyone have a specific brand or custom-fit mount that works well with this specific layout? I’d love to hear what you guys are using that keeps the phone secure but the screen totally clear.

Ok so, seconding the recommendation above about staying away from those cheap suction cups!! Seriously, I had one fail and it basically dropped my phone right onto the shifter... super dangerous. Ngl I've been reallyyy disappointed with most of the stuff I bought on Amazon.
Since you're worried about safety and the CUE screen, here's what I found works:
1. **Custom Dash Brackets**: Look at the ProClip Center Mount 854921 for Cadillacs. It clips into the seams of the dash so it doesn't block the screen or ruin the leather.

Before I give advice, can you clarify which Cadillac model and year you're driving? Honestly, I’ve had issues with like three different mounts already... and they were such a waste of money. I'm pretty new to this, but I think the dash shape changes between the ATS and the CTS, so I wanna make sure I don't suggest something that'll just sag again. Lmk!

In my experience, you really gotta stay away from those universal suction cups because theyll definitely ruin that premium dash material over time. I've tried many mounts in my Caddy, and honestly, the only way to go without blocking the CUE screen or the touch controls is to use a vehicle-specific base that clips into the dash seams.
* I highkey recommend the ProClip Center Mount 855047 for Cadillac. It's rock solid and won't sag with a heavy phone.
* Pair that with the ProClip Adjustable Phone Holder 216175 specifically for the iPhone 14 Pro Max with a case.
Basically, it positions the phone just to the side of the screen so you keep your full line of sight... plus no sticky residue to worry about later. gl!
