Recommended screen protector for the massive Cadillac Escalade IQ display?

Hey everyone! I recently got my hands on the new Escalade IQ, and while that 55-inch pillar-to-pillar curved LED display is absolutely breathtaking, I’m already starting to stress about keeping it pristine. It’s such a massive surface area, and after just a few days of use, it’s already becoming a total fingerprint magnet. Plus, with the amount of light that comes in through the panoramic roof, the glare can get pretty intense at certain angles.

I’m really looking for a high-quality screen protector that won’t compromise the clarity or the touch sensitivity of the infotainment system. Since the screen is curved and stretches across the entire dash, I’m worried about finding something that actually fits perfectly without bubbling or peeling at the edges. I’ve looked at a few universal films, but I’d much prefer something custom-cut for the IQ's specific dimensions. Does anyone have experience with a particular brand that offers a matte or anti-glare finish for a screen this size? I’m also curious if tempered glass is even an option for a display this wide, or if I should stick to a high-end PET film. Has anyone found a reliable protector that handles the curves of the Cadillac's dash well?

yo, for your situation, i honestly suggest looking at the TheOCDPlug Cadillac Escalade IQ 55-inch Screen Protector Matte Finsh because it's way cheaper than those $100 boutique films. basically i spent like $45 on a similar kit and unfortunately the install was a nightmare cuz of the curve. i mean, tempered glass is a no-go for that 55-inch beast, so you gotta use PET or TPU. mine had some wierd bubbles at the edges... super annoying but way better than fingerprints everywhere!! gl

This^ Also wanted to add that for a screen this massive, PET film is basically your only option. I looked into it and tempered glass just can't handle those curves without cracking. I'm super satisfied with the ScreenPro Cadillac Escalade IQ 55-inch Anti-Glare PET Film Kit. It's high-end film that actually stays put on the edges. Honestly, matte is a lifesaver with that sunroof... no more glare! 👍

Regarding what #1 said about "yo, for your situation, i honestly suggest looking..." - i totally agree that the boutique stuff is overpriced but honestly the cheaper films i tried werent much better. I had such a bad experience trying to DIY this. I was so worried about scratching that beautiful screen while squeegeeing out bubbles that I basically gave up halfway through. It was just a total mess and unfortunately now im even more stressed about the screen than i was before.

  • Be really careful with the static. When I peeled the backing, it literally pulled dust out of the air and trapped it forever.
  • If you dont align it perfectly the first time, the edges start peeling immediately and wont stick back down.
  • Some adhesives are super strong and I was genuinely scared it might strip the factory anti-glare coating if I ever had to remove it. Ngl, im pretty disappointed. It feels like a screen this big and curved needs a professional touch. I tried doing it myself to save a few bucks but it just wasnt worth the headache... really think twice before trying to install a massive 55-inch film alone.

Honestly, for that 55-inch beast, i'd skip the expensive boutique brands. I actually recommend looking at RUIYA for 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ Screen Protector 55-inch Matte PET Film or checking out the VIESUP Cadillac Escalade IQ Screen Protector 55-inch Anti-Glare Film Kit. These run like $30-50, which is way more reasonable. PET film is definitely the move cuz tempered glass wont flex for those curves, just be super careful during the install... bubbles are basically inevitable if you dont use a soapy water spray!
