Hey everyone! I recently joined the Cadillac family with a 2023 XT4 Sport, and I’m absolutely loving the ride so far. However, I’ve run into a bit of a frustrating issue. I live in an area where the roads aren't always the cleanest—lots of loose gravel and puddles—and I’ve noticed that the tires on this thing really love to kick up debris. After just a few weeks of driving, I’m already seeing some tiny splash marks and grit hitting the lower side panels and the rear quarter panels. It honestly makes me cringe every time I hear a pebble fly up and hit the paint.

I’m looking to install some mud guards (or splash guards) as soon as possible to protect the finish, but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by the options. I’ve looked at the official Cadillac OEM guards from the dealership, which obviously look the most 'integrated,' but they’re a bit pricey and seem somewhat small. On the other hand, I’ve seen some aftermarket options from brands like WeatherTech and some generic ones on Amazon that claim to offer better coverage.

My main concern is the installation process and the final aesthetic. I really don't want to have to drill new holes into the wheel wells if I can avoid it—the idea of taking a drill to a brand-new Cadillac makes me pretty nervous! Also, since I have the Sport trim with the gloss black accents, I’m worried that some of the matte plastic guards might look a bit cheap or out of place. I want something that looks like it belongs on the car, not an eyesore.

For those of you who have already added these to your XT4, what has your experience been? Did you go with the official GM parts or find an aftermarket brand that fits perfectly without a ton of modification? Also, how well do they actually work at keeping the road grime off the doors? What are the best mud guards for a Cadillac XT4 in terms of balancing protection, ease of install, and style?

Just sharing my experience: I went through this last year with my Sport trim too! Ngl, I was sooo stressed about the gloss black accents clashing with matte plastic. I basically tried some cheap A-Premium Splash Guards for Cadillac XT4 from Amazon first cuz I didn't wanna drill. Honestly, they were just okay... the fit was kinda off and they looked a bit thin. Eventually, I realized the OEM ones really do flow better with the lines, even if they're smaller. Tip: check for 'no-drill' clips online, they saved my sanity! 👍

Sooo, I totally feel u on this. I've had my XT4 for a few years now and honestly, that first time you hear a rock ping off the door... it's the absolute worst. In my experience, you really wanna go with the Cadillac XT4 Front and Rear Splash Guards in Black G88823. I know you mentioned they look a bit small and pricey, but after trying a few things over the years, the OEM fit is just way better than any generic Amazon stuff.

Basically, the official GM ones use the existing mounting points so you aren't out there drilling into your brand new baby, which I get makes you nervous—it would freak me out too! Plus, since you have the Sport trim, the texture on the Cadillac XT4 Front and Rear Splash Guards actually blends in pretty well with the wheel well liners. It doesnt look like some cheap plastic flap hanging off the side, it lowkey looks like it was there from the factory.

I tried some WeatherTech MudFlaps for Cadillac XT4 on a previous SUV and they were okay, but they felt a bit more 'utility' and less 'luxury' if that makes sense? For the XT4, the Cadillac parts definitely balance the style and protection best. They aren't huge, but they stop like 90% of that road grime and grit from hitting the lower panels. Definately worth the extra cash for the peace of mind... gl with the install! 👍

In my experience, you don't need to drop $200+ at the dealer to get solid protection. I've tried many setups over the years, and if you want to save some serious cash without drilling into your fenders, here is what I recommend:

1. **Best Budget Pick:** Grab the TOPGEAR Front and Rear Mud Guards for 2019-2024 Cadillac XT4. You can usually find these for under $40 on Amazon. They're basically a 1:1 match for the OEM shape but way cheaper.
2. **The No-Drill Win:** Most of these kits use the existing factory screw locations. Seriously, just unscrew the current hardware, pop the guard on, and screw it back in. It takes like 20 minutes tops.
3. **Pro Tip for Sport Trims:** Since you've got the gloss accents, the matte plastic can look a bit dull. I've found that hitting them with a quick coat of Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer makes them look much more high-end and matches the trim better.

Honestly, spending $150 extra for the 'official' logo just isn't worth it when the $35 ones do the same job of keeping that road grime off ur doors! gl!
