I just upgraded to the 20-inch alloy wheels on my XT4 and I’m a bit nervous about theft in my neighborhood. I've looked at McGard and Gorilla, but I’m worried about the specific fitment for Cadillac's lug patterns. Should I stick with the OEM kit from the dealer, or is there a more secure aftermarket brand you'd recommend?

In my experience, you definitely dont wanna sleep on Farad Sicustar M14x1.5 Wheel Locks. I've been doing this for over a decade and while everyone talks about McGard, Farad is highkey the gold standard in Europe for a reason. They have a rotating sleeve so thieves cant just grip 'em with a socket or pliers, right? Plus, after years of swapping rims, I've found their chrome holds up way better against winter salt than some of the cheaper stuff out there.

Another solid option if you want that industrial market research tier security is the Rimeard M14x1.5 Wheel Lock Nut Set. Honestly, the OEM stuff is basically a deterrent for honest people, but the Rimeard keys are way harder to bypass. I mean, it depends on how much you wanna spend, but I guess sticking to a brand that specializes ONLY in locks usually pays off. anyway, hope that helps ur decision lol

Just sharing my experience: I went through this last year when I got my XT4. I'm SUPER technical about my car stuff, so I spent days comparing M14 x 1.5 thread pitches and seat types lol. I was honestly worried about the dealer markup cuz they wanted like $100+ for the official kit. I ended up finding the McCard 24215 Chrome Cone Seat Wheel Locks on Amazon for way less, basically around $35-40!

I compared three main routes:
- Dealer OEM: Perfect fit but SO expensive for what you get.
- Gorilla Automotive 71643NBC Black Chrome Acorn Wheel Locks: Looked cool and budget-friendly at ~$50, but I heard the finish can chip.
- McGard: Best value imo.

Basically, the McGards have been fantastic and haven't rusted at all. It's highkey the best way to save some cash while getting that peace of mind for ur 20s. Hope that helps!! 👍

Ok so, I've honestly spent way too much time obsessing over wheel security since I love my XT4's 20s! Here's what I recommend for technical piece of mind:

1. **Go with McGard.** They basically set the industry standard for durability and have that amazing triple-nickel chrome plating.
2. **Stick to Gorilla** if you want every single lug to be a lock. It's highkey more secure than just one locking nut.

Basically, anything from those two brands is fantastic for Cadillac fitment tbh!! Peace.

Story time: I actually went through this exact same panic after someone tried to swipe the wheels off my neighbor's car. I'm highkey paranoid about safety, so I spent a weekend diving into the technical specs for the XT4's M14 x 1.5 thread pitch. I was torn between going OEM or aftermarket, so I actually bought both to compare.

I compared the Cadillac OEM Wheel Lock Kit 84332438 against the McGard 24215 Chrome Cone Seat Wheel Locks and the Advanced Wheel Locks M14x1.5 Bolt Style. Honestly, the OEM ones are basically McGard but with a Cadillac logo, so they're solid for basic security. But when I looked at the technical design of the Advanced Wheel Locks M14x1.5, the free-spinning sleeve really impressed me from a safety perspective because it makes it way harder to grip with a socket. I ended up feeling much more secure with those on my 20s. Just make sure you dont lose the key... ask me how I know lol. Good luck with the new rims!!

I almost lost my rims once, so I stuck with the official Cadillac kit... honestly it's been great and fits perfectly, so I'm satisfied.
