I recently picked up a 2021 Camaro and while I love the stock look, I’m ready to give it a more aggressive, custom vibe. I’ve been browsing around for some exterior upgrades but the options are overwhelming! I’m currently eyeing a ZL1-style front splitter and some sleek side skirts to lower the profile visually. I’m also debating whether to go with a ducktail spoiler or swap out the tail lights for a smoked LED look. I want to keep it clean and not too "tacky," but definitely more unique than what rolls off the lot. For those of you who have modded yours, what are the best aesthetic mods you’ve found that offer the most bang for your buck?

sooo i just found this thread and wanted to jump in cuz i was literally in the same boat last month. being a total beginner with mods, i was super worried about wasting money on stuff that looks cheap or breaks. Honestly, before you buy anything, you might want to check out **AmericanMuscle** or **Phastek Performance**. They're like the holy grail for Camaro parts and have tons of customer photos so you can see if something looks "tacky" before you commit.

Check out these two budget-friendly paths i compared:

* **Option A: Vinyl Accents.** I tried the Luxe Auto Concepts Camaro Side Marker Tint Kit and it's a game changer. It's way cheaper than new housings and looks highkey professional if you take your time.
* **Option B: Full Housing Swap.** You could get the VLAND Smoked LED Tail Lights for that aggressive vibe mentioned earlier, but they cost way more and the install is kinda scary if you aren't handy.

Personally, i think the tint kit is the best bang for your buck while you're still deciding on the big stuff. Just be careful with the splitter install... i've heard those ZL1 ones can catch on everything if you're not used to the clearance!! gl with the build tho 👍

Curious about one thing: what trim is your 2021? The fitment for aero stuff varies a ton between the LS/LT and the SS. Honestly, in my experience, picking the right material is HUGE for the "tacky" factor.

* **Anderson Composites Carbon Fiber ZL1 Style Front Splitter**: Looks high-end and super technical, but it's pricey and brittle if you scrape.
* **Ikon Motorsports Polyurethane Side Skirts**: Way more durable for daily driving and basically half the cost, tho you'll probably wanna paint them to match.

So yeah, once I know your trim, I can give you better specs on the ducktail vs. wing options lol.

yo, congrats on the new ride!! i honestly felt the same way when i got my 2021. so basically, i went for that aggressive look too but had some issues along the way. i started with a EOS ZL1 Style Front Splitter and it looked sick, but i lowkey scraped it on literally every driveway... it was so frustrating tbh.

anyway, here is what i suggest for that clean vibe:

* C7 Carbon Side Skirts - these really help lower the profile without being too flashy.
* Velossa Tech Big Mouth Lit Flare - i think this adds a cool custom touch to the grille.
* Hero Ranger Smoked LED Tail Lights - honestly, these are a MUST if you want to lose the stock red look.

i also tried a cheap ducktail from ebay but it didnt fit right, so i guess sticking to reputable brands is better. gl with the build!! 👍

For your situation, I gotta mention safety cuz nobody wants a splitter flying off at highway speeds. I would suggest staying away from cheap eBay plastic and going with something like StreetFighter LA Camaro Gen 6 Front Splitter or Z06 Style Side Skirts by ACS Composite. They're way more durable. Also, be careful with the ducktail; I'd go with the Drake Muscle Cars Wicker Bill Spoiler instead... it’s much more secure. Honestly, make sure to use rivets, not just tape!! gl!
