Hey everyone! I just took delivery of my C8 and I’m absolutely loving the car, but I feel like the interior needs a bit more of a premium look. I’m specifically looking for a high-quality carbon fiber trim kit to cover the center console and the door switch panels. I’ve seen a few options from vendors like APSIS and even some cheaper sets on eBay, but I’m worried about the weave matching the factory carbon pieces and how well the 3M adhesive holds up in the summer heat. Does anyone have a specific brand they recommend that offers perfect fitment and doesn't look like a bulky overlay? I’d love to hear your experiences before I pull the trigger!

Honestly, the key to avoid that bulky 'stuck on' look is choosing pre-preg dry carbon because it's way thinner than wet-molded stuff. For your situation, I would suggest checking out the AGM Motorsports C8 Corvette Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Kit or looking into Racing Sport Concepts C8 Corvette Carbon Fiber Interior Parts if ur looking for that OEM+ weave match. Basically, the cheaper eBay kits use thick resin that sits high off the panel, but these high-end options use a better 3M adhesive that actually holds up when the cabin gets baked in the sun. Gl with the build!

Coming back to this... honestly, I get the concern about things flying off or peeling in the summer heat. Since you're looking for a safety-first approach to avoid parts becoming projectiles if an airbag ever goes off, I'd suggest looking at these two routes:

1. **Full Replacement vs. Overlay**: If ur worried about 3M tape failing, Vicrez C8 Corvette Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Replacement parts are the way to go. They actually replace the factory plastic instead of just sticking on top. It's way more secure, tho the install takes a bit longer.

2. **The High-End Route**: For a perfect weave match, check out Nowicki Autosport C8 Corvette Carbon Fiber Console Trim. They use OE-spec carbon, so it doesn't look like a cheap plastic add-on.

I've seen the cheap eBay stuff literally warp and pop off in the sun—totally not worth the risk imo. Stick with the replacement pieces if you want it to be permanent and safe!! gl!

Just sharing my experience: I went through this last year and honestly, I was sooo worried about the heat too since I'm in Arizona. Basically, I found that you gotta be careful with the price-to-quality ratio.

I compared a few setups and here is how it went for me:

* Paragon Performance C8 Corvette Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Overlay Kit - This was the best middle ground for me. It's super thin so you don't get that chunky look, and it's way more affordable than the full replacement pieces from AGM mentioned earlier.
* Next-Gen Speed C8 Corvette Carbon Fiber Center Console Overlay - I tried this on a buddy's car and the weave was actually a 100% match to the factory Z51 carbon. Seriously impressive for the price!

I ended up using a tiny bit of extra 3M VHB Tape 5952 on the edges just to be safe in the summer. It has held up AMAZINGLY so far!! Plus, it saved me a ton compared to the high-end custom shops. GL with the build!

Yo, congrats on the C8! Honestly nothing beats that new car smell combined with the look of fresh carbon. Quick question tho before you buy anything—did your car come with the factory Stealth Interior trim or just the standard bright stuff? Matching the weave is way easier once you know exactly what finish you're trying to mirror! I've seen a few setups in person and there is a big difference in how they look:

  • Anderson Composites C8 Corvette Carbon Fiber Dash and Console Kit is absolutely amazing for that dry, high-end performance look. It is super thin so it doesnt feel like a sticker.
  • American Car Craft C8 Corvette Carbon Fiber Door Switch Panels are fantastic if you want something that really pops at a car show, though they're a bit glossier. Anderson is definitely my pick for that built-in look since it's so low profile. Love the way it catches the light without looking like cheap plastic. TL;DR: Check your factory trim finish first! Anderson Composites is king for a thin, OEM-style fit if you hate the bulky overlay look.

Ok so I've been modding Corvettes for 15 years and I totally get the struggle! Honestly, stay away from the cheap eBay stuff—the weave is always off. For my own car, I went with APSIS USA C8 Corvette Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Kit and the fitment is basically factory perfect. It doesn't look like a bulky overlay at all! Plus, the 3M tape holds up fine in the Texas heat if you prep it with an adhesion promoter. Seriously, it’s amazing! gl!
