What are the must-have interior accessories for a new Chevrolet Silverado?

What are the absolute must-have interior accessories I should grab for my new 2024 Silverado? I just took delivery yesterday here in Houston and I'm already stressed because we leave for a 10-hour road trip to Big Bend next Friday.

I have about $500 to spend and need stuff fast. I was looking at WeatherTech versus Husky floor liners but some guys on Reddit say the Huskys feel too plastic while the WeatherTechs curl at the edges after a year so I'm stuck. Also is the GM official center console tray better than the $20 ones on Amazon? That middle bin is just a bottomless pit and I need to organize it before the kids start losing stuff in there. Just need things that actually fit right the first time...

Ngl man, that middle console in the Silverado is basically a black hole if you dont get it sorted before a long trip. I went through the same thing when I got my last truck. I actually spent way too much on the official GM tray back then and it was fine, but my buddy got a cheap one off Amazon later and it was literally the same molded plastic. Waste of money buying the name brand there. Go with the Vehicle OCD Chevrolet Silverado Center Console Organizer for like $20. It splits that pit into usable sections so you arent digging for your wallet at a gas station in the middle of nowhere while the kids are screaming. As for the mats, I've tried many over the years and those Reddit guys are actually half right. The basic Husky Weatherbeaters are kinda plasticky and slick, but you want the Husky Liners X-act Contour Floor Mats. They are a much softer, heavier rubber than WeatherTech and they dont do that annoying curling thing at the edges. They feel way more premium under your boots and they're usually cheaper than the WT ones if you catch a sale. Since you are heading out to Big Bend, the dust is gonna be brutal. Grab a Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for 13.4 inch Screen too. Its cheap insurance against scratches when you're wiping down the dash after a week in the desert. Total cost for all that should be way under your $500 budget, leaving you more cash for gas... you're gonna need it for that 10-hour haul.

Like someone mentioned, mats are key, but get 3D MAXpider Kagu Floor Mats for 2024 Silverado over Smartliner Custom Fit Floor Mats for 2024 Silverado. They grip better, which is safer around the pedals.

Saw your post earlier and wanted to chime in because I've had some real disappointments with the popular choices lately. Before I get into the technicals, which trim level did you actually pick up? It makes a significant difference for the interior layout if you have the front bench or the bucket seats. Unfortunately, I've had issues with both Husky and WeatherTech in my last few trucks. The curling on the WeatherTech liners is a genuine reliability concern because the edges eventually catch your boot while driving. Not as good as expected for the premium price.
