Which floor mats provide the best fit for a Chevrolet Equinox EV?

I finally took delivery of my new Chevrolet Equinox EV last week, and I’m absolutely loving the ride so far! However, with winter right around the corner and my kids already dragging mud into the backseat, I realized the factory carpet mats aren't going to cut it for long. I really want to protect the floorboards while the car is still in pristine condition.

I’ve been scouring the internet for all-weather liners, but I’m finding that the Equinox EV has a slightly different floor layout compared to the gas-powered version, especially around the flat floor in the rear and the center console area. I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to fitment—I really hate it when mats slide around or have those awkward gaps where dirt and debris can collect.

I checked the official Chevy accessories site, and they have the premium all-weather liners, but they are a bit pricey. I’ve also looked at brands like WeatherTech and TuxMat, but I’m not sure if they’ve updated their molds specifically for the EV drivetrain layout yet. Does anyone here have hands-on experience with these? I’m looking for something with a high lip to catch spills, but that also looks sleek enough to match the modern interior of the EV.

I'm willing to spend around $200-$300 for a full set (front and back) if the quality is there. My main concern is the driver's side dead pedal coverage and ensuring the rear mat is a single piece that covers the entire hump-less floor perfectly.

Has anyone installed a specific brand of floor mats in their Equinox EV yet? I’d love to hear about the fitment, how the material feels under your feet, and if you think the OEM Chevy liners are actually worth the extra premium over the aftermarket options.

Ok so +1 to what was said earlier. I actually went through this exact same process because I couldn't wrap my head around spending $200+ for the Chevy brand stuff. I'm usually all about saving a buck, but honestly, with the Equinox EV's unique floor layout, the cheap universal mats from a big box store are just gonna be a disaster.

Since you're looking for that high lip to catch kid-muck, definitely look into TuxMat Floor Mats for Chevrolet Equinox EV. I've been super happy with mine. The coverage is literally insane—it goes way higher up the sides than most other brands, which is a lifesaver when the kids are kicking the side panels with muddy boots. The material feels more like a premium synthetic leather than hard plastic, so it looks sleek and matches the modern EV vibe perfectly.

Here’s the breakdown on why they work well for the budget:

- They're usually around $200 for the full set, so it fits right in your range.
- The rear mat is a single solid piece that accounts for that flat floor perfectly.
- Coverage on the driver's side dead pedal is full, so no salt/dirt gets underneath.

If you want a more traditional rubber feel, WeatherTech FloorLiner HP for Chevrolet Equinox EV is the other solid bet. They've updated their molds for the EV layout now, so fitment is tight. Honestly, the OEM ones mentioned in the first reply are great, but the TuxMat feels more high-end for the same price imo. gl with the new ride! 👍

Sooo I actually just went through this same struggle last month! Ngl, I was super worried about the flat floor in the rear too because it's like way different from the gas model. I ended up biting the bullet on the Chevrolet Equinox EV Premium All-Weather Floor Liners and they fit like a glove.

I looked at others but basically:
1. The OEM liners have the perfect cutout for the EV's unique center console.
2. The rear is one solid piece that covers the whole floor.
3. They actually lock into the factory clips so they don't slide at all.

They are kinda pricey, but honestly, for a $40k+ car, I figured it was worth it for the peace of mind. Maybe check if your dealer has a parts coupon? I got 15% off mine which helped a lot. Good luck!!

Quick question—before I dive into some technical stuff, are you mostly worried about the mud from the kids, or do you live somewhere where you're gonna deal with tons of melting snow and salt too? Honestly, I'm kinda a newbie with my Equinox EV but I've been obsessing over the specs because of that flat floor!

Since the OEM ones were already mentioned, I've been looking into the WeatherTech FloorLiner HP for the Equinox EV. They use laser measurements, which is basically a must for that weird center console gap you mentioned. I also heard 3D MAXpider KAGU Floor Mat might be releasing a set soon that looks super sleek and less "industrial." But yeah, let me know about the snow situation cuz that high lip height really matters for drainage!

Before I give advice, can you clarify if you're looking for something with that really grippy, sandpaper-like texture on the bottom, or do you prefer the ones that use the factory floor hooks?? Coming back to this an hour later and honestly, I'm kinda obsessed with the safety side of this lol. I'm a bit of a beginner with my Equinox EV too, but after seeing a friend's mat get stuck under their accelerator in a different car, I'm like super paranoid now!!

Since you mentioned being a perfectionist, I'd suggest sticking with the big-name aftermarket brands like WeatherTech or maybe even Husky. They're usually way better at covering that dead pedal area than the generic stuff. I mean, you can basically get any set from those guys and know it's gonna be solid. I've been looking at some of the premium liners too, and while the Chevy ones are nice, some of these other brands have a much higher lip which is *clutch* for containing mud.

The main thing is making sure that rear mat is a single piece. Since our EVs have that totally flat floor, a two-piece set is just gonna slide around and look messy. Plus, if it's not a perfect fit, dirt just finds its way into the gaps and defeats the whole purpose, right?? Idk, I just feel like safety and a snug fit are the top priorities here. Whatever you do, definitely avoid those 'universal' mats from the hardware store... they're basically a recipe for a tripped-up kid or a stuck pedal. Gl with the search!! 👍
