Which interior upgrades are essential for the Chevrolet Equinox EV?

I just recently put down a deposit on a new Chevrolet Equinox EV, and while I am absolutely loving the exterior styling and the tech, I am starting to think about how to make the cabin a bit more functional and protected. Since this is my first electric vehicle, I want to make sure I am setting it up right from day one.

I noticed that the center console area is huge but feels like it could turn into a cluttered mess without some kind of organizer tray. Also, with that massive 17.7-inch infotainment screen, I am a bit worried about fingerprints and glare. Are people finding that a tempered glass screen protector is a must-have, or is the factory coating good enough to handle daily use?

I am also debating between the official Chevy all-weather floor liners and some of the aftermarket options like TuxMat or WeatherTech. I have kids and a dog, so protecting the carpet from mud and spills is a top priority for me. Aside from the basics, are there any other interior bits like seat covers for the Evotex upholstery or wireless charging pad mods that you guys have found actually improve the daily driving experience?

I would love to hear from current owners about what you have added so far. What are the absolute essential interior upgrades you would recommend for a new Equinox EV owner to keep things clean and organized?

Totally agree with the above! I remember when I first got my Equinox EV, the dealer tried to charge me like $500 for an interior protection package. I'm soooo glad I did it myself for way less. Honestly, you can get a super premium feel on a budget if you shop around a bit. That screen is a total fingerprint magnet, so that Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector is definitely worth the investment, but you can save elsewhere.

  • Lasfit All-Weather Floor Liners for 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV
  • These are usually about $130, which is a steal compared to the $200 plus official ones. They handle my dogs muddy paws perfectly.
  • KIMELI Center Console Organizer Tray for 2024 Equinox EV
  • This was about $15 on sale. It's basically the same as the Muslogy one mentioned earlier but slightly cheaper.
  • Aisidra Screen Cleaning Kit
  • If you're on a tight budget, this $10 kit is great for keeping that 17.7-inch screen clear if you skip the glass for now. My big lesson was that you dont have to spend big to keep it clean. Just grabbing those mats and a tray made me way more satisfied with the daily drive. gl!

Story time: I went through this exact same situation last year right after my Equinox EV arrived. I was super worried about the oleophobic coating on that massive 17.7-inch display wearing down over time, so I looked into the technical specs of different protectors. I ended up testing the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector GLAS.tR Slim for Equinox EV and while it definitely stops scratches, you gotta be careful because adding extra glass layers can sometimes mess with the capacitive touch sensitivity or even increase glare if the sun hits it at a weird angle. For the floors, I spent way too much time comparing the TPE material in WeatherTech FloorLiner HP against the multi-layer tech of TuxMat Floor Mats for Equinox EV. The TuxMat covers way more surface area, which is honestly a lifesaver with a dog, plus it actually provides a bit of extra sound dampening, you know? Basically, I learned that the console is literally a bottomless pit without a Muslogy Center Console Organizer Tray for 2024 Equinox EV. Protecting the tech is highkey the biggest priority. gl!
