I just took delivery of my new Silverado EV and I’m absolutely loving the performance, but the bed and interior feel a bit 'bare bones' right now. I’m looking to kit it out for both daily driving and weekend camping trips. I’ve been looking at some official GM gear, but I’m curious if there are better third-party options for things like high-quality floor liners, a rugged tonneau cover that doesn't mess with the aerodynamics, or even specific charging cable organizers. I want to protect my investment while making it more functional. What are the absolute essential accessories you guys have picked up so far that are actually worth the money?

Quick question before I give advice, are you planning on doing any serious off-grid camping or just sticking to established sites with power? It basically changes what I'd suggest for safety gear. Honestly, those official mats aren't it, but you should check out the 3D MAXpider KAGU Floor Mat for 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV for a sleek look that's still super safe and non-slip!!

Sooo, similar situation here! I basically spent my whole first week obsessing over the interior... honestly felt way too plastic-y for such a cool truck. I ended up getting the TuxMat Floor Mats for 2024 Silverado EV cuz they cover literally every inch of the carpet, which is amazing for camping! Also grabbed a ScreenProTech Silverado EV Screen Protector Kit to stop those annoying fingerprints. It's been a total game changer for me tbh!!

Ok so I picked up my RST a few months back and basically went through the same thing. Ngl, I was actually pretty disappointed with the official GM floor liners... they felt thin and didn't have the coverage I needed for muddy camping gear. I switched to the WeatherTech FloorLiner HP and the fit is literally perfect, plus they catch way more debris. For the bed, I had issues with the aero on cheaper covers, so I went with the BAK Industries BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover. It's super rugged but stays flush so it won't tank your range. Also, if you're tired of the cable mess, I use the Lectron J1772 NEMA 14-50 Charging Cable Organizer to keep the garage tidy. Honestly, skip the dealer stuff and go third-party if you want real durability. Basically, protect the interior first cuz that carpet is a magnet for dirt!! gl with the new rig!

So basically the consensus is that the official GM mats aren't cutting it. Everyone's leaning toward WeatherTech FloorLiner HP or TuxMat Floor Mats for 2024 Silverado EV for better coverage.

tbh, if ur looking to save some cash, I'd suggest Husky Liners WeatherBeater Floor Mats vs the TuxMat. The Huskys are usually a bit cheaper and easier to hose off after a camping trip, but TuxMat definitely looks more "high-end" inside the cabin.

I'm pretty cautious about tonneau covers tho... maybe wait for more REV Hard Folding Tonneau Cover reviews to see if they actually hold up? Just my 2 cents! gl!

Stumbled upon this discussion today and ngl, it just makes me think about how much of a headache my last setup turned into. I spent thousands trying to get everything perfect for a three-week stint in the backcountry, but unfortunately, it felt like the more I added, the more things just went wrong. I still remember that one trip to the desert where:

  • The heat basically melted the adhesive on my supposedly heavy duty organizers.
  • A sudden storm proved my weatherproof seal was anything but.
  • My custom rack started rattling so loud I couldnt hear the radio over the wind. It was just one thing after another, honestly. I had this vision of the perfect functional truck, but the reality was just a lot of expensive noise and parts that didnt fit like they were supposed to. Reminds me of when my buddy Dave tried to do the same with his old truck back in the day... he ended up selling the whole lot on marketplace after a month cuz it was such a hassle.
