Just picked up a 2021 Pacifica Hybrid and I am already dreading the Chicago winter slush with these factory carpet mats. I looked into WeatherTech since they are the big name but I read some weird posts saying they dont fit right if you have the floor bins in the second row and my kids are back there constantly. I also need a better level 2 cable because the stock one takes literally forever. I was looking at the Lectron portable ones but I heard some stuff about them getting too hot. Im trying to stay under $500 for both. Does anyone have a specific combo of mats and a portable charger that actually holds up to kids and salt?

Just saw this thread and had to jump in... I am a bit of a safety nut when it comes to charging high voltage stuff in my garage. I dont trust those cheap brands that get too hot, its just not worth the risk. In my experience, you want something with solid thermal protection. I spent a long time researching because I was paranoid about the kids being near the charger while it was plugged in. A few quick tips from my journey:
- Grab the Shell Recharge Level 2 Portable EV Charger 32 Amp. It is super reliable and doesnt get nearly as warm as the others I tested. It feels way more heavy duty.
- For the winter mess, the Husky Liners WeatherBeater Floor Mats Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid are great. I've tried many over the years and these have a better rubbery grip than the big name brands. They handle the Chicago salt perfectly and fit around those floor bins just fine.

Omg I am in the exact same spot and it is so stressful! Finding gear that wont catch fire or ruin the car is such a massive worry for me. I am terrified of those cheap cables melting my outlet or mats sliding while I am driving! Things I am super cautious about:
- Overheating risks
- Faulty safety sensors
- Bad fitment It is seriously such a nightmare finding stuff that is actually safe for the family!
