Hey everyone! I recently picked up a used Dodge Grand Caravan, and while I absolutely love the sheer amount of interior space this thing offers, I’m quickly realizing that all that room can become a bit of a chaotic mess if it isn't managed properly. Every time I take a sharp turn or have to hit the brakes, I hear groceries sliding from one side of the van to the other, or my kids' sports gear ends up buried in the deep well behind the third row. It’s driving me a little crazy!

I’m specifically looking for advice on cargo management accessories that play nice with the Stow 'n Go seating system. That’s my biggest hurdle—I love the flexibility of folding the seats down into the floor, but I don’t want a bulky cargo liner or a permanent organizer that I have to physically haul out of the van every time I need to switch from hauling people to hauling plywood.

I’ve been looking at those envelope-style cargo nets for the rear, but I’m worried they might be too flimsy for heavier items. Does anyone have experience with a specific brand that fits the Grand Caravan’s dimensions perfectly? Also, I’m really interested in finding a collapsible trunk organizer that actually stays put on the carpet. I tried a cheap generic one, but it just slides around like it’s on ice because the base doesn't grip well.

I have a budget of around $250 to get this situation under control. I’m looking for a mix of durability and convenience. Are there any specific floor mats that are segmented for the Stow 'n Go seats, or perhaps a clever way to utilize the under-floor storage bins when the seats are actually up?

What is the absolute 'must-have' accessory you’ve found for keeping your Caravan organized for both daily errands and long family road trips? I’d love to hear your setups and what brands have actually held up over time!

Its literally a lifesaver but also a pain when things start sliding into the abyss lol. I've been there and honestly, I'm pretty happy with my current setup after some trial and error. I would suggest looking at the Mopar 82210729AC Envelope Style Cargo Net because its actually designed for those specific hooks in the back. Generic ones usually fail cuz the tension isnt right, but the OEM one is sturdy enough for groceries and wont sag as much. For the sliding issue, I really think you should check out the Starling's Car Trunk Organizer with Adjustable Straps. The real "pro" tip here is to use the straps to anchor it to the seat anchors or side hooks. If it just sits there, it'll slide no matter how "grippy" the bottom is, especially if you have to swerve. Safety wise, you dont want a 20lb bag of gear flying around! For the floors, look into Husky Liners WeatherBeater Black Floor Mats 19281. They're segmented specifically for the Grand Caravan, so you can fold the seats without yanking the whole liner out. It works well and fits the dimensions better than the cheap ones. Plus, for the under-floor bins, I just use Sterilite 12 Quart Gasket Box bins. They fit right in when the seats are up and keep ur stuff from rattling. Anyway, hope that helps you stay organized!! 👍

For your situation, go with WeatherTech. They're basically the safety standard and fit Stow 'n Go perfectly so nothing slides around, tho. I'd consult a pro for install, but I'm super happy with mine!

Coming back to this thread cuz I feel your pain... honestly, I had a pretty bad experience with those "universal" organizers too. I bought a cheap one last year and it literally flew across the van during a turn, which is actually a huge safety concern if it hits someone or distracts you while driving. If you wanna keep things from sliding into the abyss without ruining the Stow 'n Go magic, here's what I recommend after my own trial and error: 1. Mopar 82212555AB 3-Compartment Collapsible Cargo Tote: This is the official Chrysler/Dodge accessory. Pros: It’s designed specifically for that deep rear well, so it doesn't slide around like generic ones. It’s super easy to collapse when you need the floor flat. Cons: It’s more expensive than a basic bin, but the fit is worth it for the peace of mind. 2. Rola 59001 M.O.V.E. Rigid-Base Trunk Organizer: I tried this one because I was tired of flimsy walls. Pros: It has a non-slip base that actually grips the carpet. It’s heavy-duty, so sports gear won't crush it. Cons: It’s a bit heavier to move than the Mopar one, but highkey more durable. For the floor, skip the one-piece liners. I suggest Lloyd Mats Northridge Cargo Area Floor Mat for Grand Caravan. They're custom-cut and segmented, so you can still access the Stow 'n Go bins without hauling the whole mat out. Safety first, right? Nothing worse than a loose gallon of milk becoming a projectile... Have you looked into the under-seat storage bags yet, or are you strictly looking for trunk solutions? gl! 👍

Like someone mentioned, the Stow 'n Go system is a total game changer but you really have to be careful about the long-term reliability of those floor panels. If you load them up too heavy without proper weight distribution, you might risk warping the latching points.

  • I would suggest checking the seat tracks for debris regularly because even a tiny pebble can jam the folding mechanism.
  • Make sure to inspect the sub-floor area for moisture if you ever spill anything, as it can lead to hidden corrosion. Speaking of reliability, it reminds me of a trip I took through the Appalachian Mountains a few years back. We were so packed that the rear suspension was sagging, and I was mostly worried about the brake fade on those downhill stretches. My cousin brought along this massive cast iron griddle that weighed a ton and it actually slid forward and cracked the plastic trim on the center console. We ended up spending half the vacation at a hardware store trying to find epoxy that wouldnt melt in the summer heat. It was a mess, honestly. Anyway lol, sorry kinda went off topic there.
