I just picked up my new Dodge Hornet GT, and while I love the aggressive factory look, it feels like a bit of a blank canvas. I’m looking to add some personality to the exterior without going too overboard. I’ve already been considering getting a ceramic window tint and maybe blacking out the emblems to match the trim, but I’m curious what else you all are seeing out there. Has anyone found high-quality carbon fiber mirror caps or sleek splash guards that actually fit the body lines well? I want to keep it looking clean but mean. For those who have already started modding, what do you consider the absolute must-have exterior styling accessories?
Ok so, congrats on the new GT! I honestly feel u on the blank canvas thing... the Hornet looks mean but it definitely needs a few tweaks to really pop. For your situation, I would suggest looking into the Mopar Dodge Hornet Black Emblem Kit first. It's way cleaner than just plasti-dipping them and the fitment is 100% factory perfect.
I actually tried some cheap universal guards, but they looked like trash, so stick with the Mopar Dodge Hornet Front and Rear Splash Guards because they actually follow the body lines. For the mirrors, be careful with the clip-on covers since they can vibrate at high speeds. I'd highkey recommend the Mopar Dodge Hornet Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps if you can swing the price. They're real carbon, not just a print, so they wont yellow in the sun. It makes a HUGE difference in the overall look without going overboard. anyway, gl with the build!! 👍

Quick question - are you planning on tracking the GT at all or is this strictly for the daily commute? Before I dive into the deep end with suggestions, knowing ur intended use helps because some of these mods affect the car's aerodynamics and safety sensors differently, right?
If you're looking for that "clean but mean" look, you've basically got two paths for the trim. I've seen some guys go with 3M Gloss Black G12 Vinyl Wrap for a custom DIY look vs. the OEM route.
Comparing the two:
1. Vinyl Wrap: Super cheap and protects the factory paint underneath, but it's a huge pain to get the curves on those mirror caps perfect without it peeling later.
2. Mopar Dodge Hornet Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps: I know they were mentioned, but technically they're way more rigid and offer better impact resistance from road debris. Plus, no risk of the adhesive failing at high speeds like a cheap wrap might.
Honestly, I'd also look into ZL1 Addons Dodge Hornet Deluxe Rock Guards. They're more low-profile than the chunky Mopar ones and actually save your side skirts from rock chips! lol
Seconding the recommendation above for the Mopar kits cuz they fit perfect, but what's your budget like? Are you looking for more aero-style parts like a front lip, or just small trim accents?
Honestly, for your situation, I'd say less is more if you wanna keep that clean look. I basically went the DIY route to save some cash and it worked out well. Instead of pricey mirror caps, I just had my current setup vinyl wrapped in a gloss black finish. It looks 90% as good as carbon fiber for like half the cost!! Plus, it actually protects the paint beneath it. Definitely worth the savings imo. gl!
