Just got a 2021 Durango and I'm stressed about the light carpet with my two labs and this Oregon mud. Stuck between WeatherTech HP and Husky X-act Contours right now.
Got a $300 budget and need them by Friday for a trip. Which ones actually trap dog hair and mud better without sliding around?
Ive spent way too much money on floor liners over the last twenty years across different rigs. Honestly, between your two choices, go with the Husky Liners X-act Contour Floor Mats. In my experience, the WeatherTechs are decent but they are a bit too plasticky for my taste. When they get wet from Oregon rain, they get slick as ice, and your labs are gonna be sliding all over the place. The Husky ones have a more rubberized feel that stays grippy even when they are soaked. Plus, they stay put better because of the cleats on the bottom. Your $300 budget is gonna be tight if you want the front, middle, and cargo area all in one go from the big brands. If you want to save some cash for the trip, Ive actually had great luck with SMARTLINER Custom Fit Floor Mats 3 Row Set. They are significantly cheaper than the big names and the fitment in the Durango is surprisingly tight. They trap mud and dog hair just as well as the expensive ones tbh. Whatever you pick, make sure you get the cargo liner too. Labs produce a ridiculous amount of hair and mud, and that light carpet will be toast without it. Id grab the Husky Liners Weatherbeater Cargo Liner if you can find it on sale. It is a bit stiffer than the X-act line but it handles heavy gear and wet dogs without any issues. Dont wait until Thursday to order or you are gonna be scrubbing carpet for hours after your trip.
Any updates on this?
