I’m really struggling with the stock halogen bulbs on my Dart; they’re just too dim for night driving. I’m looking for a solid LED conversion kit that won't trigger any 'bulb out' errors or flickering issues. Has anyone found a specific brand that fits well in the tight housing? Also, do I need a special CANbus adapter for these?
For your situation, I'd seriously look at the Lasfit 9012 LED Bulbs Custom Pro Series. Honestly, I was so worried about my Dart's tiny housing and the whole "bulb out" error thing too, but these have the CANbus built right in! It's amazing cuz you don't have to cram extra wires in that tight space.
1. Use a kit with built-in decoders to save space.
2. Make sure they're rated for 6000K for the best visibility.
Safety is a huge deal at night, so just be careful with the alignment! Peace.
For your situation, I would suggest looking at the GTR Lighting Ultra 2.0 LED Bulbs 9012. I’m still pretty new to the whole DIY scene, but I spent weeks researching this for my own Dart! The housings on our cars are basically a nightmare because they're so cramped, but these actually fit behind the dust caps. Ngl, the stock halogens are literally dangerous at night, so I totally get the struggle!!
You 100% need a CANbus module though, or the car's computer gets super confused and starts the flickering dance. I grabbed the Morimoto Mopar Spec LED Canbus Wire Harness and it fixed the error codes immediately. It's kinda like a plug-and-play fix that saves so much stress. Basically, the LED draws less power so the car thinks the bulb is blown without that adapter. It's a tight squeeze, but once you get it tucked in, the light output is actually AMAZING compared to stock! gl with the install!

Ok so, basically I'm still kinda new to this too, but I've been super cautious cuz I'm terrified of frying my electrical lol. What's your actual budget for this? Check out the **Dodge Dart Owners group on Facebook** or the **Dart.org forums**. There's a huge community-run master list there of what actually fits in that tiny housing without melting anything. Honestly, it's a lifesaver for avoiding those cheap kits that flicker.
Honestly, I had issues with the ones I got.
- You NEED CANbus decoders
- Tight housings are a pain
Unfortunately, my setup still flickers sometimes. Not as good as expected...
