honestly im so over the mess in the back of my caravan. every time i hit a corner i hear groceries sliding and crashing around and its driving me nuts. we have a huge family road trip starting this friday and i cant imagine 12 hours of this noise. the stow n go wells are fine for hiding stuff but everything just gets buried and tangled down there. i tried some cheap nets from the big box store but they snapped immediately. i need real recommendations for cargo accessories that actually fit a dodge grand caravan. looking for stuff to organize the trunk area or maybe a solid roof bag since im on a $200 budget. what are you guys using to stop the chaos?

I've spent years hauling kids in Caravans and honestly, cheap nets are trash. You need the heavy-duty stuff.
- Starling's Car Trunk Organizer Adjustable 3 Compartment fits the floor width perfectly and keeps bags upright.
- Dodge Mopar OEM 82210729AC Cargo Net actually stays attached unlike the knockoffs. Both should run you under $100 total, leaving plenty of cash for gas.

Like someone mentioned, organizers and roof bags are pretty much the standard fix here. I'm satisfied with keeping things heavy-duty because safety is the priority when you're loaded up for a long haul. My setup uses a couple of Rubbermaid ActionPacker 24 Gallon Storage Bin units in the rear. They are rugged and the lids lock down tight so stuff stays put during hard braking. A quick tip: use the stow n go floor anchors to tie things down. Hooking some Keeper 06121 36 Inch Bungee Cord to the seat mounts stops the sliding entirely. This setup is reliable, keeps the weight low, and stays way under your $200 limit.

Regarding what #4 said about "Bump - same question here" - i totally get the frustration with stuff flying around. Ngl i actually disagree a bit with the roof bag idea mentioned earlier... they create so much wind noise and honestly they kill your gas mileage on long trips. I've been super satisfied just keeping everything locked down inside the van where its easier to reach. For the sliding groceries problem specifically, I switched to the WeatherTech CargoTech Containment System and its been a total game changer. Its basically these four plastic corner blocks that grip the carpet and stop stuff from shifting. I compared them to the Husky Liners Cargo Logic blocks but honestly the WeatherTech ones felt way more solid and stayed put better on the Caravans floor. If you really need extra room for that $200 budget, maybe look at a Reese Explore Hitch Mount Cargo Tray instead of something on the roof. Its way easier to load and doesnt mess with your aerodynamics as much. Just my two cents tho!

- i totally feel that pain! I just went through this exact same nightmare on our trip to the Grand Canyon last summer and it was such a disaster. Everything was a mess until I got a roof carrier. It literally saved my sanity! I ended up grabbing the RoofPaws Car Roof Bag 15 Cubic Feet Waterproof and it is amazing because it stays put even without a roof rack. For the inside mess, you gotta check out the SMARTLINER All Weather Cargo Liner Floor Mat for Grand Caravan. It has these awesome high edges so if a jug of milk leaks or groceries roll, it doesnt ruin the carpet. Seriously, it makes the back feel so much more solid. TL;DR: Use a waterproof roof bag for the bulky trip gear and a high-lipped cargo liner for the daily grocery sliding. Youll love the extra room!
