So I finally pulled the trigger on a 2023 R/T last week and honestly I am obsessed with the interior but its a bit plain and I want to protect it before it gets messy. I live down in South Florida so the sun is absolutely brutal on the dash and seats so I was looking at those fitted sunshades but there are so many brands and half of them look cheap like theyll just fold up in two weeks. I did some digging and saw everyone talking about the Mopar all-weather mats but then I saw a few guys on a different thread saying they dont cover enough of the dead pedal area which seems like a weird design flaw? Then I saw these carbon fiber trim kits on Amazon but I dont want it to look tacky or like I'm trying too hard to be a Hellcat when I'm not lol. My budget is probably around 400 bucks for the first round of stuff and I want things that are actually functional not just for show. I do a lot of driving for work so I need some better storage or something for the center console because its basically just a big black hole right now. Has anyone found any specific brands for seat covers or organizers that actually fit tight and dont rattle around when you're hitting it hard on the highway?
Over the years, I’ve learned simple protection saves your sanity. I’ve tried many mods, but I once lost my phone in the seat gap during a commute and it was a total nightmare.
Regarding what #3 said about "Over the years, I’ve learned simple protection saves..." - he is totally right. For that brutal FL sun, maybe look into a DashMat Original Dashboard Cover. Its way cheaper than replacing a cracked dash later and keeps things cool. For the storage, a Muslogy Center Console Tray for Dodge Challenger is a solid budget pick that wont rattle. Simple stuff keeps it reliable... better safe than sorry.
Congrats on the R/T! Florida sun will wreck that dash, so grab a Covercraft Custom UVS100 Sun Shield. Its sturdy and wont sag like the cheap ones. For that console mess, grab a Vehicle OCD Center Console Organizer Dodge Challenger 2015-2023.
Reply #1 is spot on about the sunshade, seriously dont waste your money on anything else. I went through a couple cheap ones before finally getting the Covercraft and its night and day. If you're picky about that dead pedal area tho, I’ve been really happy with the Husky Liners WeatherBeater Floor Mats 98011 Black. They actually wrap over the edge of the footrest way better than the Mopar or WeatherTech ones imo. Couple other things I use in mine:
