Hey everyone! I just picked up a new Dodge Hornet GT last week and I absolutely love the way it drives, but I feel like the exterior could use a little more personality. Since it's still a pretty new model on the road, I'm having a hard time finding high-quality styling parts that actually fit well.
I've been looking at a few specific upgrades to toughen up the look:
Has anyone here started modding theirs yet? I'm worried about buying cheap universal parts that won't hold up. Which exterior styling accessories would you recommend to really make the Hornet stand out?
tbh i always go for protection first. i'd suggest Mopar Front and Rear Splash Guards Dodge Hornet because they actually fit the body lines perfectly and prevent rock chips. also, WeatherTech Side Window Deflectors Dodge Hornet look sleek and are way more reliable than cheap stick-on versions. i'm always worried about tape failing at highway speeds so stick with reputable brands for sure.
I'd get Mopar Black Badge Kit Dodge Hornet for factory fitment, but Luxe Auto Concepts Side Marker Tint Kit is way cheaper and super easy for a quick DIY weekend project.
Honestly, just stick with 3M Exterior Vinyl for anything you're sticking to the car. Cheap parts coming loose on the freeway is a major safety concern, so dont risk it.
tbh being an early adopter is always a struggle when it comes to styling mods. i've been down this road before with other new releases and i learned the hard way that rushing into universal parts usually ends with peeling tape and weird gaps after a few weeks... it basically always pays to be patient until the platform-specific stuff hits the market. before you dive in tho, i'm curious about the end goal. are you planning on doing a full chrome delete eventually or just looking to accent the main emblems for now? also, what kind of budget are you working with? knowing if you want an aggressive track look or just a cleaner street aesthetic would help narrow it down since costs vary wildly. it's easy to overspend on the small stuff early on instead of saving for the big impact pieces.
