Hey everyone, I recently joined the club and finally picked up a GTC4Lusso. It’s been an absolute dream to drive so far—there is really nothing else like that V12 soundtrack in a car you can actually fit luggage in. However, now that the honeymoon phase is settling into daily reality, I’m finding myself a bit paranoid whenever I’m out in traffic or leaving it in a public parking garage. With the way people drive these days, and the sheer cost of bodywork on these cars, I feel like a high-quality dash cam is a non-negotiable insurance policy.
The main challenge I’m facing is finding a setup that doesn't ruin the gorgeous interior aesthetic. I really don’t want messy wires hanging around or a massive plastic unit stuck to the windshield that looks like a cheap afterthought next to all that Italian leather and carbon fiber. I’m looking for something incredibly low-profile—ideally a "stealth" install that looks as close to factory-integrated as possible.
I have a couple of specific technical concerns I’m hoping you guys can help with. First, the Lusso’s electrical system and battery can be notoriously finicky. Has anyone had issues with hardwiring a camera into the fuse box for parking mode? I’m worried about potential battery drain or throwing sensor codes if the power management isn’t handled perfectly. Second, because of the unique hatch design and the way the rear glass is positioned, I’m curious about the best way to route a rear-facing camera. I’d love a 2-channel system (front and back), but I’m hesitant to have a shop start pulling apart the headliner or trim panels if it’s going to lead to interior rattles down the road.
I’ve been looking at the BlackVue DR970X or maybe the VAVA options, but I’m curious if there’s a specific brand that fits the mirror housing better. For those of you who have already installed one in your GTC4Lusso, which specific model did you go with, and did you find a clean way to power it without risking the car's sensitive electronics?
Subbing for updates
Hmm, I've had a different experience when it comes to the rear camera. I totally get the fear of rattles, but honestly, having that rear coverage is HUGE for safety. If you use a pro installer who knows Ferraris, they can secure the wires properly.
I'd actually suggest a different approach for the hardware. Instead of the bulky ones, check out the Fitcamx Integrated Dash Cam for Ferrari GTC4Lusso. It replaces the mirror shroud so it looks totally OEM. Plus, for the battery issue, definitely pair it with a BlackVue Power Magic Ultra Battery B-130X. It's basically a must to keep the car from throwing fits about power draw while it's parked!! anyway, just my 2 cents lol.
In my experience, the one I got uses a separate battery pack tucked under the seat. It avoids sensor codes and keeps the cars electronics HAPPY without messy wires tbh.
Respectfully, I'd consider another option for the rear. I totally agree that a battery pack is a must to keep the sensors happy, but honestly, routing wires through that complex hatch is a recipe for permanent rattles!! I tried it and lowkey regretted it... it's just reallyyy risky for the trim. Maybe just stick to a front unit instead? It's way cheaper and keeps the interior factory-quiet. Sometimes less is more tbh.

Ok so I totally agree with the above advice about the battery pack... it's literally the only way to go if you dont want your Lusso throwing a fit. I saw this earlier and wanted to jump in because I've done a ton of market research on this for the GTC4 specifically.
If you're looking for a budget-friendly setup that still looks premium, I'd honestly skip the high-end BlackVue and check out the VIOFO A129 Plus Duo Dash Cam 2-Channel. It's way cheaper (usually around $170) and the wedge shape is super low-profile compared to those bulky cylinders.
To save money and keep the electronics safe, you can pair it with a BlackboxMyCar PowerCell 8 Dash Cam Battery Pack which is about $350. It sounds pricey but way cheaper than a Ferrari alternator or battery replacement!! For the rear cam, stick it to the trim instead of the glass to avoid cable strain when the hatch opens. Just be careful with the routing and use some Tesa Black Fleece Interior Wiring Harness Tape to wrap the wires—it prevents those annoying rattles everyone's worried about. Good luck!
