Hey everyone! I recently added an F8 Tributo to the garage and want to make sure the paint stays flawless while it's parked. I’m looking for a premium indoor cover that’s specifically designed for the F8's unique lines and aero vents. I'm a bit worried about micro-scratches, so a super soft fleece or satin inner lining is a must for me. Has anyone compared the official Ferrari OEM cover to high-end aftermarket options like Covercraft or specialized custom brands? I’m curious if the fitment is tight enough to prevent dust buildup without being a total pain to put on. What’s the absolute best high-quality option you’d recommend for indoor protection?

For your situation, I recommend checking out the Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories Plushweave Indoor Car Cover. It's a fantastic value compared to OEM, super soft on the paint, and fits those F8 lines perfectly.

Hey! Congrats on the F8 Tributo, seriously such a beast of a car. Well, before you drop big money, it's important to understand that indoor covers are all about breathability and friction. If the fabric doesn't breathe, moisture gets trapped, and if the lining isn't buttery soft, you'll get those dreaded swirl marks just from putting it on.

In my experience, I actually started with the Ferrari Genuine Indoor Car Cover for F8 Tributo because I wanted that perfect OEM look. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed. It looks cool with the logo, but for the price, the inner lining felt thinner than I expected. I eventually switched to the Covercraft Form-Fit Custom Indoor Car Cover and it's much better for paint protection. It has a super thick fleece lining that feels way safer on the clear coat. That said, it is a bit heavier to manhandle alone. If you want the absolute best 'satin' feel, definitely check out the Specialised Covers Prestige + Custom Indoor Car Cover. It fits like a glove around those aero vents! Hope this helps!

I went through this last year when I picked up my F8. I was skeptical about aftermarket fitment, so I tried the Car-Cover.de Satin Black Indoor Cover instead of the usual suspects. Honestly, for around $350, it feels just as plush as the OEM stuff. It has a super soft fleece lining that hasn't left a single swirl on my Rosso Corsa paint. Just be careful with the aero vents—stretching it too tight can be a bit of a pain, but the dust protection is top-tier tbh.

Ok so I totally agree that the aftermarket stuff usually beats the overpriced OEM gear. I am kinda new to the F8 world but I have been obsessing over the material specs lately because I am a total DIY geek. Instead of just paying a professional shop to source one for me, I wanted to find something I could manage myself that actually protects against more than just dust. Here is what I have been looking at for my own garage based on the data sheets:

  • Coverking Satin Stretch Indoor Car Cover: This one is super popular because it has that elastic feel that hugs the F8 aero vents really well. Tbh it is like 100 percent synthetic so it is great for breathability, but I wonder if it is too thin for accidental bumps?
  • Dustop Custom Indoor Car Cover: This is a 4-layer non-woven fabric. It is basically way thicker than the satin ones. Pros are that it actually provides a little bit of a cushion buffer if you accidentally brush against the car, but the con is that it is way bulkier to fold up by yourself. Does anyone know if the thicker ones like Dustop are harder to get over the mirrors? I am worried about snagging the carbon fiber bits if I am putting it on alone lol.
