I just picked up the new GV80 Coupe, and while the trunk looks sleek, things are sliding around everywhere! Since the dimensions differ from the standard SUV, I’m struggling to find a perfect fit. Does anyone recommend a specific cargo net or a heavy-duty liner that handles that sloped roofline well? What are you using to keep groceries secure?

Seconding the blocks! maybe check these for safety:
• Stayhold Cargo Organizer Shopping Groceries Holder - grips heavy stuff
• Rola 59001 M.O.V.E. Rigid Base Trunk Organizer - sturdier walls
both stop dangerous shifting

Yo, congrats on the new ride!! I actually just went through this exact struggle with my GV80 Coupe and it is basically a puzzle cuz of that sloped roofline. The standard SUV accessories usually dont fit right, so u gotta be careful where u shop.

Here is what I am using to keep my trunk from sounding like a bowling alley:

1. The Genesis GV80 Coupe Reversible Cargo Tray is honestly a must-have. One side is premium carpet and the other is a grippy rubber. I paid about $155 for mine and it fits the unique dimensions perfectly. The SUV version is slightly too long, so this dedicated Coupe one is the only way to go if u want it flush.
2. For groceries, I highkey recommend the Genesis GV80 Coupe Envelope Cargo Net. It's like $50-60 and hooks right into the existing D-rings. It keeps bags pinned against the back of the seats so they dont go flying when you take a corner.
3. If you're doing heavy duty hauling, I'd suggest the WeatherTech Cargo Liner for Genesis GV80 Coupe. It has a raised lip that catches spills. It’s a bit more industrial-looking, but for protecting that interior? Totally worth the $130 price tag imo.

Everything fits perfectly under the privacy cover too, which was a big concern for me. Happy with how it turned out... no more flying groceries!! Anyway, let me know if u have questions about the install, but it’s all pretty plug-and-play. Cheers!

For your situation, i recommend using modular blocks to manage the physics of that sloped trunk floor. I mean, traditional nets might stress the mounting points if the load shifts too much.

* WeatherTech CargoTech Cargo Containment System
* Genesis GV80 Genuine OEM Cargo Blocks

Definately make sure they grip ur floor material properly so heavy items dont fly forward during sudden braking!

Seconding the recommendation above for the blocks!! They literally saved my sanity with those groceries. Honestly though, if you're like me and wanna save a few bucks after that GV80 down payment, there are some solid budget ways to handle that sloped trunk without breaking the bank.

I've been super satisfied with these options:
1. Drive Auto Trunk Organizer and Storage - Usually around $25-$30. It has tie-down straps so it wont slide around when you take corners, which is a must for the Coupe.
2. Con-Tact Brand Grip Premium Non-Adhesive Shelf Liner - I know it sounds wierd, but a $10 roll of this under your bags basically stops the sliding for cheap if you dont have a liner yet.
3. CleverMade 45L Collapsible Plastic Storage Crates - These are like $15-20 and low-profile enough to fit under that steep slope.

Definately measure the height before you buy anything tall, cuz that roofline is a bit of a puzzle. Happy with how mine is setup now, no complaints so far! gl!!

Re: "Noted!"

  • I totally get the hype for the blocks, but i actually disagree that they're the best way to go. They take up way too much room in that sleek Coupe trunk tbh. Ive been around here a long time and a DIY setup is just so much more flexible for these weird dimensions.
  • Get a WeatherTech Trim-to-Fit AVM Universal Cargo Mat and cut it yourself to match the floor. It fits that slope way better than any pre-molded tray.
  • Grab a Keeper 06120 20-Piece Bungee Cord Jar to anchor stuff to the factory side hooks. It works amazing!! You keep all your floor space and things dont budge. Just hook and go... simple is always better when the car looks that good already. Love the clean look!
