Hey everyone! I recently picked up a Genesis G80 and I’m absolutely loving the interior, but I’m struggling to find a practical spot for my phone. The center console design is so sleek and premium with that wood trim and the shift dial, so I really don't want to use a suction cup mount that clutters the dash or blocks the infotainment screen.

I’ve tried a generic vent mount, but the vents are positioned a bit low and I’m worried about putting too much weight on the slim horizontal slats. I’m looking for something that integrates well near the center console or gear selector area without blocking the cup holders or the rotary controller. Has anyone found a specific brand, like ProClip or a custom magnetic mount, that fits the G80’s unique layout perfectly? I'm mainly looking for something stable that won't rattle or damage the leather surfaces. Does anyone have a setup they swear by that keeps the cabin looking clean? Specifically, which mount brand and attachment point are you using for your G80?

Get the LISEN Cup Holder, very easy to use and very stable.

Not to disagree, but I've had a different experience with those clip-on mounts in my G80. Honestly, I found they can slightly gap the trim over time, and with that gorgeous wood finish, I just couldn't risk it! If you want to keep that center console area completely pristine and "open" looking, I'd actually suggest a different approach using a high-quality magnetic setup or a more integrated base.

Over the years, I've tried many setups and here is how I'd break it down:

1. WeatherTech CupFone with Extension vs. Scosche MagicMount Pro 2 Dash/Vent: The CupFone is super stable and doesn't touch the leather, but it does eat a cup holder. The Scosche is great because the magnet is strong enough for the G80's smooth dash surfaces without using the vents.
2. A-Pillar Mount for Genesis G80: This is my current favorite. It moves the phone up and to the left of the steering wheel. It keeps the center console 100% clean and your eyes stay near the road level, right?

Basically, if you want that "clean" look you mentioned, staying away from the center trim altogether is the way to go. GL! 👍

I've been using the iOttie Easy One Touch 5 in my G80 for about 6 months now and it's been solid. The suction cup grip works great on the textured console surface, and the telescoping arm lets you position your phone exactly where you need it without blocking vents or controls. Just make sure to clean the mounting spot with alcohol first for maximum hold. The quick-release button is clutch for one-handed phone removal too.

Ok so, before I give advice, quick question: are you using a massive phone or just a standard-sized one? Honestly, weight is the BIGGEST safety factor here since we don't want your phone flying into the console trim if you hit a bump! I'm happy with my setup but the mount's grip depends on the phone's bulk. Have you looked at the WeatherTech CupFone with Extension? It keeps things stable and low-profile, but lmk about the phone size first!!

Late to the party but this whole thread is 💯. Glad I found it.

Not to disagree, but I've had a different experience with the expensive custom mounts. Honestly, they kinda let me down considering the price... I'm a bit of a budget-conscious enthusiast, so I'd actually suggest a different approach before you spend big.

1. What's your max budget for this?
2. Are you looking for a permanent setup or something you can easily swap out?

Basically, the leather in the G80 is so soft, I've had issues with pressure marks from 'clip-on' styles unfortunately. I'm curious if you're open to some cheaper DIY-style fixes that won't break the bank? 👍
