Looking for the best mud guards for my Genesis GV70.

I’m loving my GV70, but the side panels are already picking up debris. I'm torn between the OEM guards and aftermarket options like WeatherTech. I want something low-profile that won't ruin the sleek lines but actually protects the paint from rock chips. Does anyone have photos of their setup or recommendations on which ones fit the best?

Ok so I've been through this with several SUVs over the years and found that Genesis GV70 OEM Mud Guards are the best value play if you want that factory-integrated look without the dealer markup. They're basically $50-60 online, which is way cheaper than the $150+ some dealers quote for parts and labor.

Here's the breakdown of the two main routes:

• **OEM Genesis Guards:** These are honestly the most low-profile. They use existing mounting points, so no drilling into your new car (huge plus). The plastic texture matches the trim perfectly, but they are smaller, so they might miss some heavier spray in slushy weather.

• **WeatherTech MudFlaps for Genesis GV70:** These offer WAY more surface area protection. If you live somewhere with gravel roads or heavy winter salt, these are the move. They stick out slightly more, which kinda breaks the lines, but they're tougher than the OEM plastic.

Personally, I'd go OEM for the sleekness unless you're REALLY worried about heavy rock chips. Installation is a breeze—took me like 20 mins with a stubby screwdriver. Definately worth the small investment to save your paint long-term!

In my experience, you definitely wanna go with something low-profile. I was worried about ruining the GV70's lines too, but the ones I got basically disappear against the wheel wells. Honestly, they were much more affordable than the dealer options and the protection has been great. No more debris hitting the doors! Have you checked out any local shops for pricing yet?

Seconding the recommendation above regarding the OEM parts! I'm still kinda new to doing my own car stuff, but after hearing horror stories about rock chips ruining the paint, I spent a lot of time researching what's actually safe. Tbh, I was super worried about generic guards being too stiff and vibrating against the body, which can actually cause more damage to the finish over time.

I ended up grabbing the Genesis GV70 OEM Splash Guards for about $55 online and I'm sooo happy with them. They're basically $100 cheaper than what my local dealer wanted for the same kit. Compared to something like the WeatherTech MudFlaps for Genesis GV70, the factory ones are way more low-profile and don't stick out like a sore thumb. They fit the contours perfectly, so no debris gets trapped behind them. Honestly, for the peace of mind and the price, it's a total win. gl with whatever you pick! 👍

For your situation, i'd be super cautious with aftermarket stuff. I tried some cheap ones but the fitment was honestly pretty bad and they felt kinda flimsy.

Here's the breakdown imo:

• Genesis GV70 OEM Mud Guards - These are definitely the safest bet. They match the trim perfectly and wont mess with the lines, but unfortunately they're a bit small so protection isn't 100%.

WeatherTech MudFlaps for Genesis GV70 - These actually offer better coverage but they're a bit more noticeable.

I mean, i'd probably stick with OEM for the look, just gotta be careful on gravel tho! gl!
