I recently picked up a 3.3T G70 and absolutely love the stock power, but I’m ready to start modding. I’m looking for the best bang-for-your-buck upgrades like JB4 tunes, intakes, or sway bars to sharpen the handling. What are your must-have performance accessories to really wake this car up without ruining the daily drive?
Seconding that! i heat soaked my 3.3T once... dont forget to add a Mishimoto Performance Intercooler Kit for 2018-2023 Genesis G70 3.3T to protect ur engine and chase those gains safely.
Respectfully, I'd consider another option before just throwing a piggyback on there. I've been tuning these platforms for years, and honestly, I've seen guys focus on peak numbers only to end up with nasty carbon buildup or fuel rail pressure issues. I remember a friend who went full bolt-on but skipped the basics - his intake valves were literally caked in gunk after just a year. Instead of just chasing HP, I'd look at these two paths: - Safety Setup: Get a Mishimoto Dual Baffled Oil Catch Can Kit for 2018-2023 Genesis G70 3.3T. It's boring but saves ur engine from GDI blow-by.
- Direct Control: Look into a Lozic ECU and TCU Performance Tune instead of a piggyback. It manages timing and fuel more precisely, which is way safer long-term. Basically, ur engine is an investment. Keep the AFR stable and the internals clean before you try to break records. gl!
yo, congrats on picking up the 3.3T! honestly such a beast of a sleeper. basically, these cars are super detuned from the factory because they wanted to keep that luxury feel, but the engine is capable of so much more if u let it breathe. unfortunately, i learned the hard way that not every performance part actually helps. i had major issues with some cheap open-box intakes that just caused massive heat soak and made the car feel sluggish in traffic... super frustrating tbh. anyway, if ur looking for the best setup, here is what i recommend based on my own trial and error: For power, you highkey need the Burger Motorsports JB4 Tuner for Kia Stinger and Genesis G70. its a night and day difference. but seriously, dont try to run it on stock plugs. i made that mistake and had terrible misfires under heavy boost. u gotta swap in HKS M45iL Super Fire Racing Spark Plugs gapped to 0.022 to keep things smooth. For the sound and a bit more top end, the BMS Elite Dual Performance Intakes are the way to go. they sound incredible when the turbos spool up! plus they actually fit right unlike some other brands i tried. To fix that body roll, the Eibach Anti-Roll-Kit Front and Rear Sway Bars are the single best handling mod. the car finally feels planted in the corners instead of leaning like a boat. its a slippery slope once u start but so worth it lol. gl with the build tho
> what are your must-have performance accessories to really wake this car up without ruining the daily drive? ^ This. Also, honestly I've been dealing with this exact same headache for like six months now and I'm still nowhere closer to a decision. Every time I think I found a safe path, someone brings up carbon buildup or heat soak and it just puts me right back at the start... it's so annoying. I really want more power but I'm terrified of compromising the reliability since this is my only car. Ugh. Just found this thread and was hoping for a clear answer but it's always so complicated and honestly kinda disappointing that there isnt a simple fix. Been lurking for ages and still feel like I'm gambling no matter what I choose.
