I just picked up a new Genesis G70 and I’m loving the interior, but I’m terrified of ruining these carpets with the upcoming rainy season. I’ve been looking at options, but I’m torn between the OEM Genesis mats and aftermarket brands like WeatherTech or TuxMat. I really want something that offers a perfect, snug fit without looking too 'industrial' or bulky, as I want to keep that luxury feel. Does anyone have experience with which brand actually covers the dead pedal area best? Also, do the rear mats stay in place well? I'd love to hear which ones you guys think offer the best balance of protection and style for the G70 cabin.

Just sharing my experience: I went through this last year cuz I'm sooo paranoid about salt damage!! Technically, the OEM ones are okay, but I was worried about the low side walls. I ended up trying 3D MAXpider KAGU Series Floor Mat for Genesis G70 because they have this carbon fiber texture that looks pretty sleek, not industrial at all. The dead pedal coverage is actually decent, maybe not as high as others, but honestly, it stays put reallyyy well with those anti-skid nibs. Definitely keeps that luxury vibe! 👍

So I actually struggled with this same thing cuz I didn't want my G70 looking like a work truck lol. In my experience, the TuxMat Custom Mat for Genesis G70 is the absolute winner for that luxury vibe. Honestly, the coverage on the dead pedal is basically perfect—it goes way higher up than the OEM ones. Plus, they have this quilted look that matches the interior highkey well. WeatherTech is okay but looks kinda industrial tbh. The rears on the TuxMats stay locked in place too!

Yo! Congrats on the new G70! Adding my two cents here since I'm literally obsessed with keeping my interior mint, but I'm also super paranoid about safety. For your situation, I would suggest looking into the WeatherTech FloorLiner HP for Genesis G70.

I know, I know—people always say WeatherTech looks like a work truck, but the "HP" (High Performance) version is a totally different beast than the original ones. It's made of a softer, rubber-like TPE material that feels way more premium and actually stays flexible. From a safety perspective, this is huge because it won't curl up at the edges over time, which is a total nightmare if it ever catches a pedal.

Honestly, the fit is incredibly snug because they laser-measure the floor pan. It covers the dead pedal area almost entirely, which is a must-have for the rainy season so that salt and muck don't seep under the carpet. Plus, they use the factory retention hooks so the mats literally cannot slide around. In the rear, they're basically molded to the floor shape so they don't budge at all, even with passengers kicking around back there. Ngl, it's a bit of an investment, but the long-term protection is amazing for the resale value! gl with the choice! 👍
