Hey everyone! I finally pulled the trigger on a Genesis G70 3.3T Sport, and man, this thing is a blast to drive right out of the box. The twin-turbo V6 has plenty of kick, but now that I have been driving it for a few weeks, I am starting to get the itch to personalize it and squeeze out a bit more performance.

I am primarily looking for mods that improve the overall driving dynamics without making it too harsh for a daily commute. I have been reading up on the JB4 piggyback tuner since it seems like a popular choice for adding power safely, but I am also curious about intake and exhaust options. I really want to hear those turbos spool up a bit more. Also, has anyone upgraded the sway bars or spark plugs yet? I have heard the stock plugs can be a bit of a weak point once you start pushing more boost.

I am not looking to turn this into a dedicated track car quite yet, but I definitely want to sharpen things up and make it feel more aggressive. What would you say are the first three performance accessories or bolt-ons I should look into for the best bang for my buck? I would love to hear what you guys have installed and if you noticed a real difference in the seat-of-the-pants feel!

Seconding those recs! Also maybe look at the Velossa Tech BIG MOUTH Ram Air Intake Snorkel. It basically forces cold air into ur motor for better response without breaking the bank. gl!

To sum up what's been said: the JB4 and NGK plugs are the go-to starters for power, and the intakes or snorkels handle the airflow side. But as someone who values reliability, I look at things a bit differently. See, when u start pushing more boost, u increase internal pressures and heat which can stress the motor. That matters because u want a car that lasts for years, not just a few fast pulls. If u want a safety first build, I highly recommend adding a BMS Zero Maintenance Oil Catch Can for Kia Stinger / Genesis G70. Direct-injection engines are prone to carbon buildup, and this helps keep things clean. Also, if u go faster, u gotta stop faster! Grab some EBC Brakes Yellowstuff Brake Pads and Motul RBF 600 Factory Line Racing Brake Fluid. It's a balanced approach that keeps the car aggressive but reliable for daily use. gl!

Basically, these V6s are built strong but dialed back for comfort. Increasing boost makes them scream, but it stresses the factory ignition. Here's what I recommend:

  • BMS JB4 Performance Tuner for Kia Stinger / Genesis G70 3.3L ($600)
  • NGK 97506 SILZKBR8D8S Spark Plugs
  • BMS Elite Dual Performance Intake for Kia Stinger / Genesis G70 TL;DR: Power and spark first. Seriously happy with this setup! Peace

yo dude!! congrats on the g70!! i just got mine a few months ago and i am literally obsessed with it. i am still kinda learning the ropes with modding, but i have been deep-diving into the forums just like you because the itch to customize is SO real. if you want that bang-for-your-buck feeling without making the car feel like a tank for your commute, here is what i have been looking at.

I think the sway bars are the better first move. Springs look cool cuz they drop the car, but sway bars actually fix that body roll in the corners without making the ride stiff as a board. It makes the car feel way more agile... lowkey like it lost 200 pounds!

Full exhausts sound amazing, but they are super pricey. The secondary downpipes are a cheaper way to get more sound and a tiny bit more flow without being too loud for a daily driver. It really lets the engine breathe and you can actually hear the car come alive!

  • Cooling: Mishimoto Performance Intercooler Genesis G70 3.3T

I have heard from a bunch of guys that these cars get heat soaked pretty fast when you start driving them hard. If you are gonna add power later, keeping those intake temps down is basically a necessity so you dont lose performance after a couple of pulls. anyway i am sooo excited for you!! i mean even stock this car is a beast but adding these little things makes it feel personal. good luck with the build!! peace.
