Best floor mats and protection for a GMC Terrain AT4?

I just picked up a new GMC Terrain AT4 and I’m absolutely loving the rugged look, but I want to keep the interior pristine before I head out on any trails. Since the AT4 is built for adventure, I’m worried about tracking in mud and salt. I’ve been looking at the official GMC premium liners, but I’m curious if brands like WeatherTech or Husky offer better coverage, especially for the dead pedal area. I also need something for the cargo space that won't interfere when I fold the rear seats down. Does anyone have a setup they swear by for high-wall protection and a perfect fit? What are you all using to keep your cabin protected?

Oh man, congrats on the AT4! Seriously love that rugged look. Since you're prioritizing safety and a perfect fit to avoid pedal interference, I gotta mention the 3D MAXpider Kagu Series Floor Liners. Basically, these are amazing because they use a patented anti-skid backing so they NEVER slide around near your pedals—which is a huge safety plus when you're hitting trails.

For that cargo situation, check out these options:

* WeatherTech Cargo Liner 401115 - Seriously heavy-duty and great for mud, though it can be stiff.
* GMC Accessories Premium All-Weather Cargo Area Tray - This one is literally designed to work with the folding seats, so no bunching up!

I've seen too many people trip up with cheap mats that curl, but the 3D MAXpider ones stay flat and look sleek. Honestly, keep an eye on the dead pedal coverage; some brands cut it short, but those MAXpiders cover it well. Hope that helps you keep the cabin pristine!! 👍

Congrats on the AT4! In my experience, I've tried many over the years, but for the Terrain, the Husky Liners WeatherBeater Series 94051 is the way to go. Unlike the GMC ones, these actually cover the entire dead pedal area so salt doesn't crust up your carpet. For the back, I'm using the WeatherTech Cargo Liner 401115—it’s super flexible so it basically doesn't interfere when you fold the seats. Seriously, the Husky ones have better high-wall protection tbh. gl! 👍

Ok so, I went through this last year when I got my Terrain. I was honestly SO paranoid about the light-colored stitching getting ruined by salt. I actually tried the WeatherTech FloorLiner 441251 because everyone raves about them, and they are like, super sturdy, but I found the material a bit too stiff for my liking? It felt a little slippery when my boots were wet, which kinda freaked me out for safety reasons since I'm a bit of a cautious driver lol.

I ended up looking into more technical stuff and found that some people prefer a softer grip. I eventually swapped to the 3D MAXpider Kagu Series Floor Liners L1GM05801509 and oh man, I LOVE them! They have this weird texture that's like a mix of rug and rubber? They basically don't move at all cuz of the backing.

Quick tips for your AT4:
- Check the dead pedal coverage specifically; some liners leave a tiny gap where mud can seep under the carpet.
- For the back, the WeatherTech Cargo Liner 401115 is awesome because it's thin enough to not mess with the seat folding mechanism.

But yeah, definitely be careful with the official ones—they look cool but I've heard the walls aren't high enough for real mud. Tbh I'm still a beginner with all this off-road stuff, but finding the right fit was a total game changer for my peace of mind!! Good luck with the new ride! 👍

Honestly, if you're on a budget, just grab the TuxMat ones. I'm super satisfied with the coverage; they literally go all the way up the walls and hide the salt perfectly, right?
