Top wireless charging pad upgrades for older GMC models?

sooo jumping in here! similar situation here - i went through this last year with my 2017. honestly the stock pad is basically a paperweight for modern phones lol. i've had my truck for over seven years now, and i've seen so many guys on the forums complain about the "slow charge" or the phone just getting hot and not actually gaining any juice.

basically, the tech in these older gmc models is just super outdated. those factory pads were only 5w, and with the iphone+15+pro+max&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iphone 15 pro max, the coil alignment is almost impossible to get right. i spent weeks doing market research on different brands because i was realy worried about the interior finish not matching. i'm kinda a beginner when it comes to the heavy electrical stuff, so i wanted something that wouldnt be a total nightmare to install.

i looked at the options already mentioned, but here is what i found during my search:

- SIGHILL Wireless Car Charger for GMC Sierra 2014-2018 15W Fast Charging: i almost pulled the trigger on this one because it replaces the tray and feels very factory. it supports 15w and the surface area is way better for the big iphones.
- Inbay Wireless Charging Kit for GM Trucks 15W: this is a solid choice if you want to keep your original rubber mat but swap the "guts" underneath. it’s a bit more work but the finish is 100% stock.
- Carqiwireless 15W Fast Charging Pad for GMC Sierra 1500 2014-2018: like someone else said, this is the budget king. it works decent but just make sure the wiring is tucked tight.

anyway... i eventually realized that for the absolute best 15w speed on an iphone, you gotta look for "magsafe" certified stuff, but those tray swaps are definitely the cleanest for that factory look. just be careful with the plastic clips on the console cuz they get realy brittle after a few years... found that out the hard way haha. but yeah, it's definitely worth the upgrade. gl! 👍

Ok so I've been there and honestly, while you could try generic stick-on pads, I'd suggest the Boost Auto Parts 2014-2018 GM Wireless Phone Charging Upgrade. It's a methodical swap that hits 15W and fits Pro Max phones while keeping a factory look. It worked pretty well for me, tho fitment maybe depends on your case thickness. Decent option imo!

- Tbh I'd kinda suggest the CarQiWireless 15W Fast Charging Pad for GMC Sierra 2014-2018 because it's basically $60 and fits the factory look, but watch the wiring carefully so you dont blow a fuse... gl!
