Finally pulled the trigger on a new 2024 Sierra today and I'm so stoked! I saw people online arguing about spray-on vs drop-in liners and I'm just confused now. I'm hauling a lot of mulch for my yard in Seattle this week so I need stuff fast. Besides liners, what are the absolute must-have accessories?
I would suggest focusing on cargo security before you start hauling that mulch. The Sierra bed is solid but you might want to consider adding extra anchors to prevent shifting during transport. Be careful with generic hardware store straps tho, as they often lack the proper tension ratings for heavy loads.
Unfortunately, dealer covers are overpriced. Tyger Auto T3 Soft Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover is cheaper. The 24oz vinyl and aluminum frame handle Seattle rain fine for way less cash.
To add to the point above, unfortunately, drop-in liners arent as good as expected because they trap moisture and vibrate, scuffing the bed paint—especially in rainy Seattle. Tbh, Ive had issues with rust because of that.
Youll love the truck! From my experience:
