I just picked up a new Passport TrailSport and want to push it a bit further than the local fire roads. I’m specifically looking for skid plate recommendations and maybe a mild lift kit that won't ruin the ride quality. What are the absolute must-have mods to improve clearance and protection before I hit some moderate trails?

Seconding the recommendation above. Honestly, No-Lo makes solid stuff, but I've had issues with the fitment of some thinner plates before. I'd definitely add the JSport Honda Passport 1.5 inch Lift Kit for that extra clearance. Just be careful, cuz lifting these can *actually* stress ur CV axles if u go too high... stick to a mild lift and maybe grab the No-Lo Designs Honda Passport Rear Differential Skid Plate too. Better safe than sorry tbh.

Soo honestly, i had issues with the high price of some kits. For a budget-friendly lift that wont kill ur ride, look at the HRG Offroad 1.5 inch Lift Kit for 2019-2024 Honda Passport. It's usually under $350 and feels basically stock. Also, safety-first: definitely grab the Lp Aventure Main Skid Plate to protect that oil pan. It’s pricey but way better than a cracked block. Trust me, i've seen it happen on easy trails and it's NOT fun. gl!

+1 to what was said earlier! Honestly, also grab the TruHart Rear Adjustable Camber Arms to keep ur alignment in check after lifting, and maybe some AEM DryFlow Air Filter for easier engine breathing out there. gl!

Honestly, the way Honda left the underbelly so exposed, especially near the fuel lines, is just exhausting to deal with. It really ruins the peace of mind when youre crawling over anything bigger than a pebble. Im constantly stressed about a catastrophic failure out there and it just feels like such a massive design oversight. Regarding ur search, ive looked closely at a few setups and have been very satisfied with these alternatives:

Yo, congrats on the new Passport! Honestly, the TrailSport is a beast but ur totally right—the clearance is basically the only thing holding it back on moderate trails. I've been running the No-Lo Designs Honda Passport 2019-2023 Front Skid Plate and it's literally saved my oil pan from some nasty rocks.

For the lift, I highkey recommend the HRG Engineering 1.5 inch Ultimate Lift Kit for Honda Passport. It gives u that extra bit of belly room without making the ride feel like a stiff tractor.

Here's what I recommend starting with:
- JSW Offroad Honda Passport Transmission Skid Plate for full underbody protection.
- A set of Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 265/60R18 tires if u want better grip than the stock ones.

Basically, just keep it mild and don't go over 2 inches or ur CV axles might get grumpy!! It's such an amazing platform tho. gl! 👍
