Looking for recommendations on the best off-road accessories for Honda Passport TrailSport.

I recently picked up a new Honda Passport TrailSport and I'm absolutely loving it so far, but I really want to take it a bit further off the beaten path. I'm planning a few weekend camping trips to the mountains this summer and I'm a bit worried about the stock underbody protection and tire grip on loose gravel and mud. I've been looking into some skid plates and maybe upgrading to more aggressive AT tires, but I'm not sure which brands fit the TrailSport's geometry best without rubbing. I want to keep the ride quality decent for my daily commute while gaining some peace of mind. Does anyone have specific recommendations for skid plates or tire sizes that have worked well for your Passport?

Seconding the recommendation above. Saw this earlier but just now responding... honestly, the stock underbody on the TrailSport is okay for fire roads, but mountain rocks are a different beast entirely. Besides what was already mentioned, you might want to consider the Toyo Open Country A/T III 245/60R18 for your rubber. I've found they're actually quieter on the highway than other ATs and won't kill your fuel economy since they're relatively light compared to heavier alternatives. Basically, make sure to stay with the stock 245/60R18 size to avoid rubbing issues - larger tires are tempting but they'll likely hit the wheel wells during full lock turns on the Passport geometry. For protection, the JSport Honda Passport Front Skid Plate is a great alternative that's pretty cost-effective for what you get. Just be careful with the extra weight and watch your braking distances once you're loaded down with camping gear. Good luck!!

So basically the consensus is that armor and grip are highkey essential for mountain safety since stock plastic wont stop a jagged rock from cracking ur oil pan! Along with the plates and Toyos already mentioned, I definitely recommend the Primitive Racing Mid Armor Skid Plate and BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 245/60R18 for that extra sidewall durability and peace of mind. gl!

Hey there! Congrats on the new ride. I totally feel u on wanting to push the Passport a bit more... honestly it's a great rig but you're highkey right to be cautious about that underbody. I've spent a lot of time on mountain trails with mine and the first thing I'd say is: dont overdo it on the tire size. I've seen guys try to squeeze in huge 265s and they end up rubbing the liners or worse, putting way too much stress on the AWD system and transmission heat. In my experience, you'll want to prioritize protection first. I would suggest looking at the No-Lo Designs Front Skid Plate for 2019-2024 Honda Passport. It's super solid and gives you that peace of mind against rogue rocks. I also added the No-Lo Designs Rear Differential Skid Plate because that diff sits kinda low and I was worried about clipping it on loose gravel. For tires, if you wanna keep the daily drive smooth but get way more grip, I'd seriously recommend the Falken Wildpeak A/T4W 245/60R18. Seriously, stick to the stock size!! It avoids any rubbing issues and keeps your MPG from tanking. They're basically the gold standard for AT tires that don't drone on the highway. Just be careful out there... the TrailSport is capable but it isn't a tank, so make sure to check your clearances before trying anything too crazy. If you're unsure about the install, maybe have a local shop handle the plates to make sure everything's torqued right. anyway, good luck!
