Hey everyone! I finally pulled the trigger and picked up a brand new 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring in Urban Gray Pearl last weekend. I am absolutely loving the smooth ride and that extra torque from the hybrid powertrain, but now that the initial excitement is settling in, I am starting to realize I need to get it properly outfitted before it starts showing wear and tear.

I am coming from an older sedan, so having this much space is a bit of a change for me. I live in an area where we get a fair amount of rain and mud, and I am also a frequent hiker with a golden retriever who joins me on most trips. My main concern right now is protecting the interior from mud and fur. I have noticed that the piano black plastic around the center console is already starting to collect dust and fingerprints like crazy, which is driving my OCD a bit wild.

I have been browsing the official Honda accessories catalog, but the prices for things like the all-weather floor mats and the cargo tray seem a bit steep compared to some aftermarket options. I have heard some people mention brands like TuxMat or WeatherTech for better coverage, especially in the back seat area where the hybrid battery configuration makes the floor shape a bit unique.

Specifically, I am looking at these items first:

  • High-quality all-weather floor liners that cover the dead pedal
  • A durable cargo tray and seatback protectors for when the seats are folded down
  • Some kind of tempered glass screen protector for the 9-inch display

I also noticed the wireless charging pad is a bit slick, so my phone tends to slide around on curvy roads. I really want to keep this car looking pristine for as long as possible while making it practical for my outdoor lifestyle. I am willing to spend a bit more if the quality is significantly better, but I do not want to waste money on items that do not fit perfectly or feel cheap.

For those of you who have had your CR-V Hybrid for a while now, what are the absolute must-have accessories you would recommend to a new owner? If you had to pick the top three things to buy in the first month, what would they be?

Sooo i literally just went through this exact same thing last month when i got my hybrid sport touring!! i was sooo worried about that shiny piano black getting scratched up on day one. basically the first thing i did was look for floor mats because i hike too and my dog is a total mess lol. i actually went with the TuxMat Custom Car Mats for Honda CR-V Hybrid 2023-2024 because they look a bit more premium than the rubbery ones and they cover basically every inch of the carpet including the dead pedal which is huge. i am still learning about all the hybrid features myself but i have spent way too much time on forums lately trying to find the best stuff. for your situation, i think these are the winners:

  • floor liners are a must. honestly just skip the honda ones and get the TuxMat Custom Car Mats for Honda CR-V Hybrid 2023-2024 because the coverage on the sides is way better for keeping dog hair out of the carpet cracks.
  • for the trunk and the back of the seats, i got the Powerty Cargo Liner with Seat Back Protectors for Honda CR-V 2023-2024. it makes it sooo much easier to just wipe down the mud after a hike without worrying about the fabric getting ruined when the seats are down.
  • to save ur sanity with the screen, get the Spigen Glas.tR Slim Screen Protector for 2023-2024 Honda CR-V 9-inch Display. it actually helps a lot with fingerprints. i also grabbed a Muslogy for Honda CR-V 2023 2024 Center Console Piano Black Cover Trim in a matte black look so i dont have to see the dust constantly... it works decent and fits right over the plastic. also i had that same issue with the phone sliding!! i found a little LMS Customized Wireless Charging Pad Anti-Slip Mat for Honda CR-V 2023 2024 that is basically a thin silicone sheet. it stops the sliding and the phone still charges fine. anyway i hope that helps... good luck with the new ride!! peace

Sooo I went through this last year! Safety was my top priority, especially making sure mats didnt slide near the pedals...

  • TuxMat Floor Mats for Honda CR-V Hybrid 2023-2024: amazing coverage, protects hybrid battery vents, feels very secure!
  • WeatherTech FloorLiner HP for 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid: super durable material but covers less carpet area on the sides. Honestly, TuxMat felt way safer for my dog and didnt move an inch... amazing!! peace

You're gonna want the Husky Liners Weatherbeater Floor Mats 95311 and the Carwiner Wireless Charger Silicone Mat for 2023 2024 Honda CR-V. Unfortunately, I've had issues with basic mats before... they're not as good as expected and just dont hold up. The Husky ones actually cover the dead pedal properly, which is huge for mud. And that silicone mat is a total lifesaver for the phone sliding around!! Seriously, such a big difference. gl!

Quick question - are you planning to keep the dog in the cargo area with the seats folded, or does he stay on the back bench? Before I give advice, knowing ur dog's 'spot' helps avoid wasting money on redundant liners. I'd be careful with generic mats that dont lock in place for safety... seen too many slide around. Have you checked out SMARTLINER Custom Fit Floor Mats for 2023-2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid? They're a great budget alternative!
