Ive been driving electric for a decade but the cable Honda gave me for my new Prologue is just pathetic, it doesnt even reach my garage outlet by two feet. My trip to the coast is this weekend so I need better gear fast. What are the must-have charging accessories for the Prologue?

I’ve been quite satisfied using the Lectron 240V 40 Amp Level 2 EV Charger with my Honda. Safety is huge for me, and this unit feels really solid without being overpriced. It has a 20-foot cable which should easily cover those extra two feet you need in the garage. Honestly, it’s a reliable, budget-friendly way to get the job done properly before your big trip.

To add to the point above: honestly those high-end chargers are way too expensive for what they are. I had issues with a fancy portable unit that just felt flimsy for the price. Disappointing really. Just grab the Mustart Level 2 Portable EV Charger 25-Amp 26ft instead. It is way more budget-friendly and gives you the reach you need for the coast trip without the sticker shock. TL;DR: Skip the overpriced boosters; get a 26ft Mustart for better value.

@Reply #1 - good point! Honestly though, its so disappointing that Honda cheaped out on the stock cable. I had similar issues and it really ruins the new car vibe. For your coast trip, you definitely need more reach:
