I just picked up a latest-gen Honda Accord and I’m trying to keep the trunk from turning into a mess (grocery bags sliding everywhere, emergency kit rolling around, etc.). I’ve seen a bunch of “universal” trunk organizers on Amazon, but I’m not sure what actually fits the Accord’s trunk shape/width without blocking the rear seat release or sliding around on the trunk floor. Ideally I want something foldable with a non-slip bottom and at least 2–3 compartments, under about $60. If you’ve bought one that fits well in the latest Accord, which model/size did you go with?
Did this last week, worked perfectly
TL;DR: Go medium-wide, grippy base, and dont block the seat releases — these 3 usually play nice in the latest Accord.
Option A: TrunkCratePro Collapsible Car Trunk Organizer 2 Large Compartments with Non-Slip Bottom (Black) — Pros: super stable, folds flat, good value. Cons: not a ton of small pockets.
Option B: MIU COLOR Collapsible Car Trunk Organizer 3 Compartments with Lid and Non-Slip Bottom (Black, Large) — Pros: lid keeps stuff from flying in hard braking, more structure. Cons: lid can be annoying for quick grocery drops.
Option C: Starling’s Car Trunk Organizer 2 Compartments with Removable Divider and Non-Slip Bottom (Black) — Pros: simple, sturdy, usually under $60. Cons: softer walls, so heavy stuff can sag.
Tip: add 2 little bungees to the trunk hooks so it literally cant slide. cheers
Oh man, been there… first week with my (new-ish) Accord the trunk looked like a grocery tornado lol. For your situation, I’d suggest going with a “medium” soft organizer that’s wide enough to not tip, but not so tall it blocks the seat releases.
- What I’m using right now: Fortem Car Trunk Organizer with Lid 50L (Collapsible, Non-Slip Bottom, Reinforced Base) — it’s usually under $60. Fits the Accord trunk width fine (I keep it pushed to the passenger-side corner), and it doesn’t mess with the rear seat pull tabs for me.
- Why it works in the Accord specifically (imo):
- It’s got a grippy bottom + straps, so it doesnt skate around on that smoother trunk carpet.
- Three sections (you can do 2 big + 1 small) which is perfect for “grocery / emergency kit / random stuff and things”.
- It folds down flat when you need full trunk space.
- Little tip I learned: put the heavy stuff (tool bag, jumper cables) in the middle compartment so it stays planted, and use the side pockets for lighter things.
- If you want something a bit smaller: Drive Auto Products Car Trunk Organizer (Collapsible, Non-Slip Bottom, 2 Compartments) is decent too, just less “locked in”.
What year is your Accord (2023/2024/2025)? Their trunk layouts are super close but I wanna make sure before I say it’ll 100% clear your releases. gl!
Ok so jumping in… i get it, Accord trunks are basically a bowling alley for groceries lol. Before I point you toward the “right” size/brand tier, 2 quick questions so I dont steer you wrong:
- Is your latest-gen Accord the sedan or the hybrid? (The trunk floor setup + under-floor storage can be a little different, and it affects whether a taller organizer sits flat or rocks.)
- Do you want it to stay put purely from a grippy bottom, or are you ok using straps/anchors to the cargo hooks? (Some brands like High Road / TrunkMate / STARLING’S tend to rely on tie-down points for the “no sliding” claim.)
Reason I’m asking: on the Accord, the seat-release access is usually easiest when the organizer sits low and wide (think “briefcase height”), and the carpet is slicker than people expect, so a non-slip base alone is sometimes meh unless it’s the rubberized style.
If you tell me sedan vs hybrid + whether you’ll use anchors, I can compare the main brands that hit your under-$60 target and what size class usually fits without blocking the releases. good luck!
Ok so with the latest Accord trunk, the big thing is safety: you dont want a hard bin becoming a projectile in a panic stop, and you *really* want it to stay put on the carpet.
For your situation, I’d suggest:
- MIU COLOR Collapsible Trunk Organizer 3 Compartments with Non-Slip Bottom (Black) — usually ~$30–$45, soft sides, folds flat, and the grippy base actually works (at least thats what worked for me)
- TrunkNets Inc Cargo Net for Honda Accord 2023-2025 Trunk Net (Envelope Style) — add this and it stops the rolling-around problem without blocking the seat release
- If it still slides, toss a cheap rubber trunk liner underneath (unfortunately my first organizer was “non-slip” and still drifted…)
Keep it low-profile and strap heavier stuff inside. gl!
From a long-term engineering perspective, the failure point on most organizers in the 11th-gen Accord isn't the size, but the structural rigidity of the base plates under lateral G-loads. If ur on a budget, look for these specs: - Oasser Car Trunk Organizer - It uses 1680D Oxford cloth. Most "universal" ones use 600D, which has lower tensile strength and frays at the seams after a year of heavy use. This one fits the Accord's 40-inch depth perfectly.
- Knodel Car Trunk Organizer - This is a solid budget alternative. The partitions are reinforced with 5mm thick base boards. In my experience, thinner boards warp when exposed to the high cabin temps an Accord can hit in the summer.
- Technical Fitment: The Accord's trunk floor width between the wheel arches is approx 35 inches. I HIGHLY recommend a 24-inch wide model. It leaves enough clearance on either side for loose items, preventing the "pendulum effect" during sharp turns. Tbh, save the extra $30 and just get something with a high Denier rating. It’s the materials that matter, not the logo. Just make sure the bottom has hook-and-loop strips; the Accord's carpet is pretty slick and stuff slides easily.
