Best aesthetic upgrades for the Infiniti Q50 Black Opal Edition?

I finally pulled the trigger on a 2023 Infiniti Q50 Black Opal Edition, and man, that paint is even more stunning in person! Depending on the light, it shifts from a deep forest green to a moody purple, and it’s easily the best part of the car. Since it already comes with the factory carbon fiber spoiler and the darkened chrome accents, I’m trying to be really careful about what I add next. I don't want to ruin the sophisticated look, but I feel like it’s missing a few finishing touches to really make it stand out.

I’ve been debating between a set of aftermarket wheels—maybe something in a satin black or even a dark brushed bronze to complement those purple hues—and whether or not a subtle front lip would be too much. I'm also considering a mild lowering kit just to close that wheel gap a bit, but I’m a bit worried about the ride quality on the Red Sport suspension. I really want to keep it looking 'OEM plus' rather than a full-on project car.

For those who have seen this edition in the wild or own one, what do you think are the best aesthetic mods to highlight that unique finish? Any specific recommendations for a front splitter or wheel setups that won't clash with the factory carbon fiber weave?

Totally agree with the above! Since the Red Sport uses Dynamic Digital Suspension (DDS), you gotta use Swift Spec-R Springs because they're specifically valved for the factory stroke. This matters cuz it prevents that annoying bounciness and works well with the electronic damping. Add some Z1 Motorsports 20mm Wheel Spacers to your stock wheels and I promise youll have no complaints about the fitment. gl! 👍

Seconding the recommendation above! Tbh, if youre gonna drop the car, you gotta prioritize safety and grab SPC Performance Front Adjustable Camber Arm Kit 72130. Lowering changes the suspension geometry, which causes 'camber wear'—basically killing your expensive tires from the inside out. For wheels, the Vossen HF-5 Hybrid Forged Wheel 19x9.5 is a much safer, high-quality bet than cheap reps. Theyre super strong and wont crack on a nasty pothole. Stay safe!

TL;DR: Go for bronze flow-formed wheels like Konig Ampliform and a subtle Stillen Front Lip Spoiler to nail the OEM plus look without spending a fortune.

So basically, I've seen a few of these in person and that paint is insane... literally one of the best factory colors out there. If ur trying to keep it practical and budget-conscious, I highkey recommend looking at flow-formed wheels instead of full forged. Konig Ampliform 19x9.5 +35 in Gloss Bronze would be a killer setup—the bronze actually pulls out those moody purple and green hues way better than black does. Plus, they're super light which helps with unsprung weight and handling.

For the front end, definitely look at the Stillen Front Lip Spoiler. It’s made from durable polyurethane so it wont shatter like carbon fiber if u scrape a curb, and it fits the factory lines perfectly without looking like a tacky project car.

Regarding the suspension—I know Swift Spec-R Springs were mentioned earlier, but if u want to save some cash while keeping that Red Sport ride quality, RS-R Down Sus Lowering Springs are a solid alternative. They offer a more conservative drop than the Superdowns, which helps preserve the valving in ur Dynamic Digital Suspension struts. It closes the gap just enough to look intentional without being a nightmare on speed bumps. Honestly, it’s all about those small details that make people wonder if it came from the factory like that!!

So, basically, the whole "OEM plus" vibe is about keeping things looking factory-clean but just a bit more... refined? It's tricky with a special edition cuz you dont wanna mess up what makes it unique.

I actually had a bit of a rough time when I first started modding my current setup. I tried some wheels that were way too bright and it honestly looked kinda cheap... I was so disappointed. Plus, I tried a front lip that wasnt great quality and it literally cracked the first time I hit a driveway. Not as good as I expected at all. Honestly, it was such a headache.

For ur situation, I'd suggest being super cautious. That paint shift from green to purple is the star of the show, and if you go with bronze wheels, it might clash depending on the light. I think a satin black is a safer bet, but even then, the factory wheels are already pretty good. If you're gonna lower it, definitely talk to a professional shop first. I messed with my suspension and now the ride is way too bouncy... I lowkey miss how it felt stock.

If you realy want to add something, maybe just look into a really nice ceramic coating? It makes that Black Opal finish look sooo much deeper and it protects the paint without changing the car's lines. But yeah, definitely take it slow.
