Hey everyone! We recently upgraded to a new Infiniti QX60 Luxe to serve as our primary family hauler, and we’re absolutely loving the interior space so far. However, with two kids and a dog, I’m quickly realizing that I need a solid plan to keep the cargo area organized and protected before it gets trashed.

I’ve been browsing a few options, but I’m torn on what’s actually worth the investment. Specifically, I’m looking for a high-quality all-weather cargo liner—does the OEM Infiniti one provide enough coverage, or should I look at something like WeatherTech or TuxMat for better lip protection against spills? I’m also struggling with the 3rd-row configuration; when the seats are down, groceries tend to slide all over the place. Has anyone found a foldable cargo organizer or a net system that fits the dimensions of the QX60 perfectly without looking bulky?

Lastly, we are planning a few road trips this summer, so I’m curious about roof rail crossbars. Are the factory ones the quietest, or is there an aftermarket brand that handles wind noise better? I’d love to hear about the specific setups you all are using to keep your Luxe looking sharp while remaining functional. What are your must-have cargo accessories for this SUV?

Hmm, I’ve had a different experience. Loose bins are sooo sketchy for safety with dogs... dont risk it. Get Fortem Car Trunk Organizer with Straps for $29—it’s cheap and stays put!

For your situation, I’ve been through this exact same rabbit hole with my QX60, and tbh, keeping that interior mint with kids and a dog is basically a full-time job lol. If you want to maintain that Luxe feel without it getting trashed, you gotta look at the technical specs of the gear, not just the brand name.

Here’s what I recommend based on my own setup:

* **The Liner:** Skip the OEM one. It’s too flat and doesnt trap much. If you want the absolute best coverage, go for the TuxMat Custom Fit Cargo Liner for Infiniti QX60. It has a much higher lip than the WeatherTech FloorLiner Cargo Mat and the material feels a bit more premium. It literally covers the side walls a bit too, so dog hair doesnt get embedded in the carpet panels.
* **Organization:** Groceries sliding around is the worst... iirc the QX60 has a decent underfloor bin, but for the main area, I use the Drive Auto Products Car Cargo Organizer. It’s great because it has tie-down straps that clip into the factory floor hooks. Most foldable bins just slide around on the plastic, but this one stays put even during sharp turns.
* **Roof Rails:** Factory bars are okay, but if you’re sensitive to wind noise, the Thule WingBar Evo 135 Black Crossbars are superior. They use a proprietary 'WindDiffuser' tech (basically a textured strip) that breaks up airflow. It’s highkey quieter than the Infiniti OEM Roof Rail Crossbars, which tend to whistle at highway speeds once they get a little older.

Basically, the OEM stuff looks "correct" but the technical specs on the high-end aftermarket gear usually perform better for actual family abuse. gl with the road trips! 👍

Unfortunately, my experience with the official Infiniti accessories has been pretty subpar considering the luxe price point. I went with the OEM liner first thinking it would fit like a glove, but the material was way too thin and it didnt actually catch any spills when my kids knocked over a water bottle... it basically just soaked right into the carpet anyway. I ended up swapping things out for a more technical setup after doing some real-world testing:

  • Cargo Liner: I ditched the dealer option for the TuxMat INFINITI QX60 Cargo Mat. Honestly, the coverage is night and day compared to WeatherTech. It actually climbs the side walls of the cargo area which is a must if you have a dog or muddy gear.
  • Organization: Groceries were a nightmare until I got the Starling's Car Trunk Organizer 3 Compartments. I had issues with cheaper mesh nets stretching out after only a month, but this thing has rigid walls and high-density fabric so it actually holds its shape when you load it down.
  • Roof Rails: I found the factory bars have a really annoying whistle once you hit 65mph. I switched to Yakima JetStream Crossbars 60 inch Black. The internal JetTruss structure makes them super rigid and the wind tunnel testing they do really shows in the reduced cabin noise. Just feels like a better engineered piece of kit than the stock ones.

Jumping in here real quick, curious about one thing: does your dog ride in a crate or roam free? Tbh, I’m kinda paranoid about safety since my first mat setup shifted during a turn and it was *seriously* sketchy.

* Weight limits are technically crucial.
* Surface textures help keep things stable.

I'm still a newbie, but load ratings matter for road trips. How big is your pup??

I've spent a decade trashing SUV interiors, and basically learned luxury brands charge way too much for plastic. I think ur better off skipping the expensive OEM stuff.

1. Liners: Iirc, SmartLiner gives the same protection for way less.
2. Storage: Honestly, cheap collapsible bins from big box stores work best.
3. Rails: I've heard Thule is quiet, but pricey... maybe try generic aero bars?

Lesson: Don't pay the 'luxury tax' for basic gear!
