Winter is hitting hard and I want to keep my E-PACE in top shape. I’m specifically looking for high-quality all-weather floor liners and maybe some custom-fit mud flaps to handle the slush. Does anyone have experience with the OEM Jaguar accessories versus brands like WeatherTech? Also, are heated wiper blades worth it for this model?
In my experience, you definitely want to go with the Jaguar E-PACE Rubber Cabin Mats over the aftermarket stuff. Honestly, the fit is just SO much better and they actually look like they belong in a Jag, you know? I've tried WeatherTech before but the OEM ones are highkey better for the E-PACE.
Also, I'm super happy with my Jaguar E-PACE Front and Rear Splash Guards. They really stop that nasty slush from caking up on the side panels. Plus, skip the heated blades... basic Bosch ICON Wiper Blades work just fine for me! gl!
tbh i'm pretty cautious when it comes to winter safety. for your E-PACE, i actually recommend MAXpider KAGU All-Weather Floor Mats. they're way more affordable than OEM but have a grippy bottom so they won't slide around while you're driving, which is a huge safety plus for me!!
* **Floor Liners**: 3D MAXpider KAGU Series Floor Liners (around $150)
* **Mud Flaps**: A-Premium Splash Guards for Jaguar E-PACE (usually under $50)
sincerely, i'd skip the heated blades. they're just another electrical failure waiting to happen imo. i've been sooo happy with my setup and it hasn't let me down in the slush yet. gl!
ngl i tried WeatherTech FloorLiner HP and they felt kinda cheap for a Jag. stick with OEM. but honestly, steer clear of those heated blades... absolute nightmare to wire up and they streak like crazy.
I’ve spent way too much time under my E-PACE prep-wise, and honestly, the best DIY winter 'accessory' isn't even a physical part you bolt on - it’s a solid ceramic coating like Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light. Slush and salt basically slide off the panels, which saves the paint from that nasty winter etching. Also, if you’re planning to do the mud flaps yourself, just a heads-up: those expansion clips are a total nightmare to seat without a proper trim tool. I ended up picking up a GOOACC Auto Trim Removal Tool Set to avoid scratching the fender flares - worth every penny for a clean install. One more thing - the E-PACE's Battery Management System (BMS) is super picky when the temp drops below freezing. I keep mine on a NOCO Genius5 Smart Battery Charger whenever it’s parked for more than a day. It prevents those annoying 'Low Battery' warnings that mess with the Pivi Pro and the start-stop system. Way more practical than heated blades, which honestly just strain the electrical load anyway. Just my experience from working on these things in my own garage - keep the voltage steady and the salt off the clear coat!
For your situation, I'd say skip the expensive heated blades... iirc they're basically a gimmick and way too pricey for what they actually do.
- **Floor mats**: Check out TuxMat. I'm sooo happy with mine! They cover way more carpet than OEM for a better price.
- **Mud flaps**: I went with some basic universal ones from Amazon. Ngl they aren't 'custom,' but they cost like $30 and honestly work well enough to block the slush. 👍
Subbing for updates
Building on the earlier suggestion about the slush, i'm literally in the same boat right now. This winter is being super rough on my E-PACE and i've been stressed trying to keep the salt from ruining everything. Honestly i'm pretty satisfied with how the car handles the snow, but the mess inside and out is just... yeah. I'm still a bit uncertain about which way to go tho. Here is what i've been thinking about:
