Hey everyone! I recently picked up a 2024 Kia Seltos and with winter just around the corner, I’m starting to get a bit nervous about the freezing temperatures and snow. This is my first time owning an AWD SUV, and I want to make sure I’m fully prepared to protect the interior and keep the car running smoothly through the slushy months.

I’ve already been looking into all-weather floor mats because I’m worried about salt ruining the carpets, but I’m torn between the official Kia ones and brands like WeatherTech. Also, since the Seltos has a bit of a unique windshield shape, has anyone found a specific snow brush or windshield cover that fits perfectly without scratching the trim? I'm also curious if there are any specific cargo liners that work well if you have the adjustable luggage board in the back. I have a budget of around $300-$400 to get geared up.

For those of you who have survived a few winters with your Seltos, what are the absolute must-have accessories you’d recommend for both protection and convenience? Are there any specific brands or mods that are worth the investment?

Hmm, I've had a different experience when it comes to those high-walled liners. Honestly, I'd actually suggest a different approach than the usual WeatherTech hype. While everyone loves them, I found WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit can get super stiff in sub-zero temps, making them kinda slick when ur boots are snowy.

Instead, I'd go with:

1. TuxMat Custom Fit Floor Mats for Kia Seltos - These look way classier and cover literally every inch of carpet. Much better for salt protection imo.
2. Kia Genuine Accessories Cargo Liner with Adjustable Floor - Seriously, stick to OEM for the trunk if you have that adjustable board. Aftermarket ones like Husky Liners Weatherbeater Cargo Liner usually dont play nice with the dual-level floor setup, which is super annoying.

Basically, the TuxMats are a bit more spendy but worth it for the safety and grip tho. gl with the new ride!

sooo I've had my Seltos for a few seasons now and honestly, unfortunately I've spent way too much money trying to find the "perfect" setup lol. I'm kinda like a beginner when it comes to the technical stuff but I've definitely learned some lessons the hard way.

For your $300-$400 budget, I would suggest looking at TuxMat Custom Fit Floor Mats for Kia Seltos. I had issues with other brands being way too slippery or not covering the sides, but these basically look like luxury leather and cover every single inch of carpet so salt cant touch anything. They're usually around $200 and worth every penny tbh.

For the cargo area, since you have that adjustable board, Smartliner All-Weather Cargo Liner for Kia Seltos is a solid value play. It's flexible enough that it's not a total nightmare when you need to move the floor height around.

Also, seriously, don't sleep on the windshield. I bought a cheap brush and it scratched the black trim piece near the wipers... not as good as expected 🙁 I switched to the Snow Joe SJBLB Telescoping Snow Broom with Ice Scraper which has a foam head instead of bristles. It's much safer for the paint and glass.

TL;DR: Focus ur budget on TuxMat Floor Mats for total interior protection and grab a Snow Joe Foam Broom to save ur trim from scratches. You should be able to get all of that for under $300 easily! gl with the snow!!

Just catching up on this thread! Love the Seltos, its such a fun little SUV to zip around in when the weather gets messy. To keep things running smooth and looking sharp, here is what I swear by:

  • Definitely look at 3D MAXpider KAGU Series Floor Mats. They have this amazing carbon fiber look and a grippy bottom that keeps them from moving an inch. Super reliable protection tho!
  • For the windshield, BirdRock Home 55" Extendable Snow Brush is a total lifesaver. The reach is fantastic so you dont have to lean against the dirty car to clear the roof.
  • If you're using that adjustable cargo floor, the Lloyd Mats Northridge Cargo Mat is awesome because its low profile but still traps all the slush and wont interfere with the board levels.
  • Dont forget the Rain-X De-Icer Windshield Washer Fluid. Its literally the best thing for keeping your visibility clear when the salt starts spraying everywhere. Its super reliable for those sub-zero mornings. Stay warm out there!

In my experience, you gotta be really careful with those cheap universal floor mats. Seriously, dont even think about them because they slide around and can basically get stuck under ur brake pedal, which is a total nightmare when ur trying to stop on ice.

I've tried many setups over the years, and for a new Seltos, here is what I recommend:
- Go with WeatherTech for the front rows. Honestly, the official Kia ones are okay, but the high walls on the aftermarket ones are better for catching that deep salt slush.
- For the cargo area, make sure the liner is specifically for the dual-level floor or it wont sit flat when u move the board down.
- Get a long-reach brush with a foam head instead of stiff bristles so u dont scratch up the glossy trim pieces.

Basically, spending a bit more now saves ur interior from being ruined by March. I've seen carpets get trashed in just one season... definitely not worth the risk!! gl with the new ride!
