Hey everyone! I just picked up a Kia Forte and I’m absolutely loving the car, but I’m struggling to find the perfect spot for my phone. The dashboard layout is a bit unique, and I really want to avoid blocking the touchscreen or the air vents if possible. I’ve tried a cheap universal suction mount I had lying around, but it keeps losing its grip on the textured surface of the dash, especially when it gets hot outside.

I’m looking for something sturdy that won't rattle while I'm driving. I’ve been looking at those custom-fit ProClip mounts or maybe a MagSafe-compatible option, but I’m worried about whether they’ll interfere with the hazard light button or the vents. My budget is around $40–$60 for something high-quality that will actually last. For those of you driving a Forte, what setup are you using that doesn't look cluttered? Do you prefer a windshield mount, a vent clip, or something that attaches to the console? I'd love to hear your specific brand recommendations!

In my experience, finding a mount that doesn't rattle or melt in the Forte is a total pain, especially with that textured dash. I've tried many over the years, and honestly, the cheap suction ones are a waste of money in the summer heat.

For your $40–$60 budget, I seriously recommend looking at a semi-custom setup. Here’s what I’ve found works best without blocking your hazard button:

* **The Gold Standard:** The Course Motorsports Direct Fit Phone Mount for Kia Forte (2019-2024) is awesome. It’s about $50 and bolts right into the dash trim. It's rock solid and keeps the phone perfectly angled without blocking the screen.
* **MagSafe Budget Pick:** If you want MagSafe, the ESR Magnetic Car Phone Mount (HaloLock) is around $25. It's a vent clip, but it has an extra support arm so it doesnt sag or break the slats.

I think? dont quote me on that, but the Course Motorsports one is definitely the way to go if you want a clean, factory look. Good luck!

Curious about one thing: what year is your Forte and are you using a case with your phone? The dash changed slightly in the newer models, and if you're rocking a thick case, it might limit your MagSafe options.

Before I dive into the technical details, I've had decent luck with the iOttie Easy One Touch 6 Dashboard & Windshield Mount. It's around $30 and actually handles the Kia textured dash better than most, but I'd love to know your screen size first!

Similar situation here! I went through this exact struggle last year when I first got my Forte. Honestly, I spent so much money on those sticky gel pads that promised to stay put, but they all eventually melted off during the humid summer months... it was so frustrating. Anyway, back to your question, I really wanted to avoid the vents too because I hate losing that airflow.

I ended up trying a different route and grabbed the Lamicall Car Cup Holder Phone Mount. It's super sturdy and stays completely out of the way of the touchscreen and hazard button. Since it sits in the cup holder, it doesn't rattle at all! If you're set on a dash mount but want to avoid the textured part, the Scosche MagicMount Pro 2 Magnetic Dash Mount worked okay on the smooth trim bits, but the cup holder style felt way more secure for my budget. It's definitely a decent option if you don't mind losing one cup holder space! Hope this helps!

Hi there! For your Forte, safety is the biggest concern—blocking air vents or your hazard button can be dangerous in an emergency! To keep your dash clear, I'd seriously recommend the WeatherTech CupFone Universal Adjustable Portable Cup Holder Cell Phone Mount. It's super sturdy, sits low so it won't block your view, and it fits perfectly in the Forte's cup holder. It's around $45 and way more reliable than suction cups that melt! TL;DR: Cup holder mounts are the safest bet for clear visibility.

To add to the point above about the heat melting those suction cups: man, I have been dealing with this exact same headache for almost a year now. Honestly, I thought I was just being too picky. I love my Forte, but the way they designed that dash area makes it basically impossible to find a clean spot for a mount that actually stays put. Every single thing I try either falls off because of that weird grain texture or blocks the screen just enough to be annoying. I've spent way too much time staring at my dashboard trying to figure out where a mount could even go without looking like a total mess. Still havent found anything that feels truly secure without getting in the way... it is driving me crazy to be honest.
